"Nature, green in leaf and stem."

This picture made me think of both. A marriage between them, really. It might just be the hue of red/brown you used, and the particular wiggles of the roots, but my mind's eye can't not see flowing blood in this. Morbid a bit, but brains are weird.

I agree tho; very nice brushwork!

 Your brain is not weird, cause you're not wrong in seeing it in that root wiggle. It is not random. It was draw with exactly that though in mind.

You're not slow. It's hard to say what it is with stuff like this tree cause even I don't know what it is most of the time ... and I drew it. The fact that you guessed pretty close means something. Maybe. Probably. Who knows.

 This whole recent series is a bit strange. I think that's cause I'm not sleeping too well for couple of weeks now. And when I wake up at 2-3 am strange things come to mind to draw )

Ohhh that's no good. The no-sleeping part, at least (even if it inspires creativity) is bad for you!

Have you thought about maybe trying a light workout regimen in the evenings? That can work wonders to get the body ready for sleep, in my experience, and it's that really nice, really *deep* kind of sleep, too. A'course this is only a suggestion; I have no idea what your daily schedule is like, so trying to squeeze in a bit of cardio into your evenings might not be very helpful advice.

Tried it. It makes me fall asleep real good. But then I still wake up 3 hours later.

Is there outside noise, maybe? Traffic, dogs, etc.? Earplugs could drown that out, hopefully. I know that needing to use the washroom at night can also prompt some people to wake up, too.

Honestly tho, to me, it sounds like your body has gotten trained to wake up at 3 AM, now. Did you have a night shift job at some point recently, or just a strange sleeping schedule for a while, that maybe has bled into more normal attempts at sleeping? I've definitely heard of that happening a bunch.

If you wanna go nuclear option on this though there is always the '24 purge'; stay awake for 24 hours straight, and THEN go to bed at a regular 22/23 o'clock. It obv. ain't healthy, staying up for that long, but it sure makes you exhausted enough to sleep through pretty much anything! (For me, at least.) If you suffer through that schedule enough, I bet you could re-train your body to just lay there and stay asleep like it's supposed to. Though it would not be pleasant. x_x

 I go on 20-21 hours awake and really exhausted when I go to sleep. Still wake up though. Tried the 24+ awake thing. It just messed up the thing even further cause that shifted my 3-4 hours of sleep into the daytime.

Honestly, if I were you, I might be desperate enough to try the sleeping pill method. Have you tried anything like that before? There are plenty of over-the-counter options - pill and otherwise - that could maybe make a dent in this stubborn problem of yours.

Besides that....maybe a baseball bat?

Are there many glowing lights in your room at night? Like alarm clock, a TV, computer, etc.? I've heard those can interrupt sleep if left facing you.

I feel for ya though, a middle-of-the-night wakeup is a miserable thing.

 Nope. There is some truth to that though. I had an LED on monitor blinking and it was quite annoying. Taped it over long time ago.
I can't really tell what's causing it. One moment I'm asleep and the next like a switch flips and I'm awake. At least that's how it feels. And it's always around 3 AM. After that I just can't go back to sleep.
