Puddlegaze was right. Far too much had been happening lately for anyone to bear. The clan was finally seeming to be calming down, but she found herself unconvinced. Every time she'd felt calm in the past, something had come crawling out of the woodwork to knock her back down again. But listening to Puddlegaze talk at was relaxing, in an odd sort of way. Her montoneish voice had a surprisingly calming drone.
In the sky, she saw clouds that look like cats. If she looked at them the right way, they looked like Sandkit and Halfstar. How were they doing in Starclan? she wondered. It was too early for the stars to be out. Why weren't they out all the time? It was far more comforting that way. Maybe it's because the nights were most dangerous. It was a far more comforting explanation. Saffronheart turned her attention back to Puddlegaze. They needed her help.
