This is your first? I'm impressed! It's very eye catching; I love the bright red hair and that the color spills into the rest of the painting, instead of using tradition realistic colors. It's a really interesting pose and expression, well composed; it's not just another portrait, you know? It's kinda exciting, and it makes you wonder what you were thinking about sitting there. Your expression seems like one of bordom, or perhaps just the expression of a person content in their own thoughts; it contrasts completely with the bright color scheme, and I like that about it too. The proportions and perspective on her face look really good too; it looks like a pose that would be easy to distort or make mistakes on, and you pulled it off without a hitch. Great job, especially for a first!

im digging the value. it looks really smooth and precise from far away, but then the strokes get more visible as invidual components as you get closer.
