Yesterday, I waxed poetic about the 1970s; today I celebrate the 1990s...
The seventies were all about freedom, the 1980s were about control and power: big hair, high heels, power suits with shoulder pads rivaling an NFL linebacker, and bras designed to lift and accentuate the bust in order to compensate the power suit jackets flattening their boobs; the nineties were all about comfort and experimentation-- women had style choices: bra or no bra; skirts short, long, or mid-length; pantyhose, stockings or tights. And thankfully most women came to their senses about big hair (except in New Jersey)...
