Wanted to draw some of my origional creatures again, so heres a random Aegagrus Dragon trying to fight off a small pride of reverse griffons ("Fengriffs" if theres got to be a name for them
). Always be prepared to fight for your noms. All of these creatures, even the dead green deer in the dragon's mouth, are made and owned by me.

Mhmm. Yup. I Doubt that it's copyrighted because of the fact that it's a very common french name in france in reality. So I believe everyone is free to use that name and the idea of the eagle wolf that I was thinking about. Including you so you're welcome to use the idea if you want to.

Pretty much the syllables in "griffen" switched around to "fengriff". I was lazy naming them XD

Well... it's better than having No-Names for this kind.
Cause I'm also trying to look for a good name for a creature compared to this one.
Like a Tiger/Lion with Bird/Eagle/Hawk body parts that look like the same features like those on your drawing and "Tiger Hawk" from The "Beast Wars".

Maybe not every new creature (like the lion griffin) has to have a name with a specific/legit meaning to what they are or what they can do. Perhaps there's a possibility that a new creature or a plant can be named after some people's first/last name or a character's name.
For example:
Like the Griffin (Greek term) came from the word gryphus in latin or it might have come from the name "Gryphon" which is a person last name because I had an old teacher named Mrs. Gryphon.
And the new breed Octopus that is called A Dumbo octopus which is named after the disney character "Dumbo" who is actually a baby elephant that can fly with his/her Big Ears.
We could name this kind of Lion-griffen after a person's first/last name from German or Latin just like what people do in reality normally. Like the last name "Krueger" or something else.

Hm... I'll think about it. Though if I can't think of a name I like, I'll keep the one I got now. But by all means do what you like for your own creatures. ^^

I'm not saying what name you should choice. Because this is your art piece, so you can name it whatever you like.
I'm just telling you this because I thought it might be a helpful advice/tip for you. Just in case. ^^

I see. One of the most challenging creatures that I have to find a name for is a creature that is part Eagle and Part Wolf. And I have been searching and trying to create some names for it and until I just saw a french name for a person, I looked up the meaning of it and it said it's name means "Eagle Wolf" in French. Which is "Amoux" (A-MOO (Slient "X"))
