I like the simple subject and the somewhat unusual appearance of the fern plant. The DoF is excellent and lets the viewer focus strictly on the plant.
I'm not usually a big of central framing, but in this case it's ok. The curled leaves attract the viewers attention and divert from the central path.
The main focus point (with the highest contrast) is at the top of the picture, therefor leading away from the center.
I also like how you matched your image with the title and the black-white profile you chose. It removes all possible distracting colors and lets only the plant stand out.
