Personality
Seyoon is very amiable. He's quite sociable, and is often described as easy to get along with. He's always seen talking to the most random people at school, and even the opponents before and after games.
On field, he’s hardworking and ambitious— once a goal is set in his mind, there is no turning back, and he will win it. If he doesn't, he'll most likely bully himself over it until he WINS. He's often seen with a serious and stoic expression while playing. A total ladies man on field, you could say! He usually doesn't pay attention to anybody else besides him and his team while playing, but you bet he'd wave hi to the ladies before it starts!
Off field, he’s humorous and clownish, a man who finds himself poking fun at his friends. With said friends, however, he’s protective and sweet. He bullies them out of love but he'd do anything to protect them.
Downsides are that, he’s very stubborn. Once he thinks one way, he refuses to think another until the other person begins to believe in his way. He simply refuses to go about some way that isn't his own, as he believes he's right.
He can also be a bit pessimistic at times— he calls it reality but we all know his confidence level can tremble. It's due to how he was raised by his parents in a very competitive environment, in which is now attached to him, the idea of continuously having to be perfect.
He's also a bit sensitive very secretly and deep down. It takes minimal effort to toy with his feelings. He's someone who becomes attached to certain people, and the smallest wrong they do can damage him, although he won't say it.
Seyoon has a very dominant personality type. In any situation, HE wants to be in charge and give instruction to the rest. In the past with his high school and recreational teams, this was problematic to an extent where his teammates would want to kick him out. He can become arrogant, where he boasts his skills to even his teammates in heated situations.
He's seen as possessive at times, as well-- he's a very personal man when it comes to his belongings and his friends. He likes to think everything is for him only. Overall, when it comes to his sport, Seyoon is very egoistic. Though he may not say it out loud,he loves to believe his skills are by far the best and has a history of getting in fights with others with said topic.

History
Seyoon was born in Jeju Island, South Korea to two “tiger parents”. His father is the CEO of an engineering company and his mother is a doctor. He was the oldest out of three siblings (Hanbin [19] and Daye [16]). As such, he was burdened with the huge expectations given by his parents since birth.
Throughout elementary school and middle school, Seyoon’s parents would be notified continuously by teachers that his studies were lacking and would be distracted throughout class often. It was true— Seyoon was never one for school. He knew this was extremely bad since his parents were very strict on school; it was a must that their children excelled beyond their grade overall and destroyed expectations with outstanding talents even outside of school as well. This greatly pressured Seyoon at a young age, knowing his parents would NOT accept him proudly as their son if he didn't live up to the scholastic expectations at stake. They preferred to openly praise his little siblings, Hanbin and Daye. Instead of praise, they insulted Seyoon when speaking to family members.
The reality of his parents’ disappointment started to sink in heavily during middle school. He was awfully social with his classmates, but never seemed to perform well on his exams. He talked too much, and was often categorized in the groups of kids that wouldn't do well on their work and preferred to play around instead.l He disliked class, and found himself hanging around the wrong people.
However, Seyoon had always been that kid who loved to play outside. He was always a social butterfly so befriending people was never difficult. Instead of participating often and succeeding in class, he found himself genuinely enjoying playing soccer outside with students and neighbors. His favorite subject was definitely gym class. Throughout his childhood, Seyoon found that he enjoyed soccer the most out of all sports. He LOVED the adrenaline of being positioned as striker on his team, often leading his team to victory. He loved to hear kids yelling his name and, when scoring, his team running around and hugging him.
Of course, his parents extremely disapproved of the idea all throughout his life, especially in high school, continuously scolding him whenever he'd refuse to study and instead play soccer or watch matches.
He had joined his high school team his first year, and was never happier.
Up until that time, his siblings had taken the spotlight away from him. They performed amazingly in their academics, and was given the blessing from their parents to participate in sports and music lessons without a doubt. His parents still continued to openly praise and promote them, but left Seyoon in the shadows and to fend himself.
Seyoon excelled at his sport considering he had invested and dedicated so much time to it throughout his life and performed well in his HS team. So much so that during their final year, they had all been offered outstanding scholarships for soccer that could be applied to and accepted by various academies. His parents had stayed quiet about it, as they had always doubted and attempted to prevent him from playing.
Despite all the backlash from his family, Seyoon wrote down Seungri College as his top pick during his last year in high school on his entrance exam. Hanwool was tied with it, but he figured that it had already been too over populated with students, and that their rival school, Seungri, was an equally good choice.
He was accepted into the school with the privilege of having a soccer scholarship and left to live in the dormitories against his parents’ will. To support his status and lifestyle, his grandma from his mother's side provides him with money monthly.

His position is striker – though he has also played as RW midfield and goalie!
Has two younger siblings, Kang Hanbin (19) and Kang Daye (16). Both are involved in sports as well.
Is 75% Korean, 25% Cantonese— his grandma from his mother’s side is a native from Hong Kong! He knows very little Cantonese, though. He only knows of the angry curse words and little sentences thrown around by his granny.
Has only ever lived in Jeju— born and raised. The only times he's visited outside of Jeju was to briefly visit family in Busan and go to soccer tournaments in Seoul. He’s visited Hong Kong once or twice to see his granny, too.
Has two dogs! A labradoodle named Lu and an Akita named Bu. They’d go on runs together and play ball in Jeju.
Really loves listening to western music while training. (Loves artists like the weeknd and 6LACK prolly)
Has a helix piercing as a hoop but doesn’t wear it at school
Is actually really flexible but has the grace of a stone
The messi pickup line actually works well on him but then he won't shut up about soccer players
His family is very competitive; Hanbin and Seyoon found themselves on the same soccer teams during junior high and high school, and it was HELL for Seyoon
Has never officially dated someone. He's only really liked one person but it ended badly.
Seyoon’s parents earn a hefty amount of money from their jobs but never have given any to Seyoon outside of feeding him and giving him a few bucks for clothing. He never did well in school so they thought he wasn't worthy. Being accepted into Seungri was mostly because of the scholarships he’d attained from his performance in soccer.
His granny is practically one of the only family members who hasn't disowned him quite yet-- she's very proud of him. She provides him with money. She's also a doctor in Hong Kong.
A pro at copying signatures, esp his parents
Mainly speaks Jeju dialect Korean, which is known to sound like a whole new language to mainland folk. Learned Seoul standard dialect for school, but his accent and slang comes out. youtu.be/cCchIPz_pBs
Parents had a heart attack when he bleached his hair. Died a second time when he dyed it orange. Natural hair color is black.
