Contest entry for *orengel 's Contest

I gave him a Dutch name, because I am Dutch, and Disternis is very close to the Dutch word 'Duisternis', what means Darkness :33 How clever.

He is the total opposite of Disternis (right). Really, he haves a warm and kind heart, but he just trusts nobody x')

Name: Licht (means 'Light' in Dutch the 'I' is pronounced as in 'swift')
Nickname(s): Flamey (by his mother), Grumpy (by the members of the herd)
Age: immortal
Gender: Stallion
Breed: Unknown, probably haves some demon blood. Arabian build with light feathering.
Personality: He was nice and hyperactive in his foal days, and had a warm personality. Since his father took him away from his dear mother and halfsister, he is hatefull and suspicious. Hates snow and ice, and everything whats cold. Its hard to earn his trust, in the beginning hes always aggressive towards other horses, even against his herd members and father (both pick on him a lot), and is easily iritated. Actually, he is just a lonely soul, looking for love and trust, and someone to be with.

Story: Grew up with his dam and older halfsister, in a stable in The Netherlands, thats where he got his name. He didn't looked like both his family members, taking off after his sire. His mother got pregnant after she escaped once, raped by the mighty white stallion with the fiery blue mane.

When the stable owner found out she was pregnant after he captured her, he dicided the keep the foal, so he could sell it. After Licht's mother gave birth, the stable owner was so amazed by the colt's colors and markings, he decided to keep him and use him for horse shows. Licht's mother loved her son with a passion, although he reminded her about the rape. But she was sure she would never see the stallion again...

One night, when Licht was a year old, he waked up from a odd sound outside the stable. Under the stable door, he saw a blue light. A deep, angry voice said: "Son... Its your time now, come with me." A wind blew trough the stable, and the door opened. Licht looked right into two light brown eyes, identical as his. The stallion was huge, a shining white coat, with black flame shaped markings. His mane and tail were real blue flames, the same flames as around his hooves. Like he was hypnoticed, Licht followed his father, leaving his mother and halfsister alone.

They walked for days, more and more miles with the hour, without a stop. The huge stallion didn't seem to care, and Licht felt nothing. No pain in his legs, nothing. Around his hooves started to show some sparks, who slowly turned in the same frightning flames his father has, maybe bigger. But he didn't even notice.

The green lands around them turned in a icy plain. After some time, they arrived. It felt like Licht just waked of from a Nightmare.

"What is happening here?!" he said.
His father looked right into his eyes, letting him shiver.
"Licht, I came to take you home. I'm Kovak. First I thought the mare I raped was a wild mare, but it turned out she just had escaped. Her owner found her and locked her up. So I kept an eye out on you, so I could take you with me when the time had come. And now you are old enough."
"It was all your plan? Raping my mother, only to produce offspring to use for whatever you want me to use me for?!" Licht looked schoked.
"Thats correct. I was looking for the right mare. My herd needs more members, to survive the cold wheathers and find food. Your mother is beautiful, and strong to. And like I thought, perfect for producing offspring like you. It was easily to scare her with my flames...." Kovak laughed hard.
Licht felt a hatred deep inside his heart. "I'm not planning to stay here any longer!" he screamed.
His father started to laugh again. "Yeah, like you can escape from here! Their is no way back, only creatures who are born here know the way! Their are predators everywhere... If I was you, I would listen now..."

Licht knew he could not do anything, and started to learn the ways of living on the cold plains. He is part of his fathers small bachelor herd now. To survive, he needs to kill animals living in the area, or lost horses, with his flames. Since he eats meat, his fangs started to grow. He doesn't want to eat meat, but he haves to, only to survive, and one day to return to his mother and halfsister, but he feels he doesn't have much time left.

(sorry, this story isn't that great, I don't have enough time to type more ).

Powers:
Immune to fire and heath. His body tempure is as hot as lava, but he can control it. Two fangs for killing victims (only kills to survive).
Stages
Normal - The blue flames is only around his hooves. Can breath fire.
Angry - His mane and tail change in blue fire, and the flames around his hooves burns more heavily
Furious - In this stage, he can't control himself, and he is blinded by rage. His mane and tail fire and the flames around his hooves burn extremely heavily and bright, up to his belly, and everything around him burns to ashes. His light brown eyes are pure white now, without a iris or pupil, and fire comes from them. Used it just one time.
