This is gorgeous work! I never managed anything decent with cross-hatching, so I admire it even more here, great job! The textures look simply fabulous and you captured so much character with it.

You know, the minute I saw the preview of this in my "DevWatch" stuff I knew it was the Titanic's captain. This is wonderfully done! I also admire people who can capture character very well - that and be able to used cross-hatching effectively.
