Jim flopped down onto the bed out of pure exhaustion. Luckily he had changed out of his Captain's uniform before hand. The whole week he had been assigned to a tough mission that left him with minimal hours of sleep, so the first thing he wanted to do… was just rest.

He snuggled his face in the blue pillow that was in his bed. There was a larger gold one behind the blue one, but he didn't care about that one. The blue one smelled just like Spock, the man he loved.

Speaking of Spock, he felt a warm heat pushing at his side before he cracked his eyes open tiredly. The Vulcan was joining him on the bed silently, probably hoping not to wake him up.

"Hey."

"I did not wish to wake you Jim."

"I wasn't asleep."

Jim felt his… boyfriend? Lover? Partner? Cuddle up to his back with a small light purr. It brought a tiny smile to Jim's face, although his mind started processing something he didn't want to process. Spock started nuzzling his nose against Jim's face, purring slightly to show affection. He wrapped his arm around his human companion, snuggling up to his backside to share his body warmth.

A horrible question drifted in Jim's mind, one he couldn't help but ask. Even if he was receiving all this affection from the Vulcan, he was still unsure.

"Spock… do you love me?"

The Vulcan above him paused, simply stopping the entire fluffy human like nuzzling to stare at Jim with his chocolate colored brown eyes. Jim silently wondered if this would be the end of their relationship, one stupid question that his stupid mind needed an answer to.

Spock shifted slightly, scooting away from Jim, but tugging at his shoulder so that he was lying on his back now. Jim complied, still wondering about his answer.

"That is a question you do not need to ask Jim." Spock finally said with a small frown on his face. Jim let out a small sigh as he looked away from the Vulcan beside him, before he felt a hand curling around his cheek. He reluctantly turned his head back towards Spock, his lightning blue eyes meeting with Spock's.

"It is a question that is not needed to be asked, for I have loved you ever since I locked eyes with you." Spock said with a small quirk of the lips. Jim still wasn't convinced however, so his lips thinned down in insecurity. Spock tugged at Jim's head so that their mouths met in a soft kiss however, making Jim's eyes flutter closed at the sensation.

When they pulled apart, Jim was smiling slightly. "It's just… I know I love you, but you're a Vulcan. Love is an emotion that Vulcans suppress."

"There is a flaw in your logic Jim. For I am half human."

Jim's smile grew slightly at the saying. He cuddled into Spock's chest, gripping his shirt in his hands as a way to keep him close. "So since you're half human, you don't suppress love?"

"That was a mistake I made with Uhura. I suppressed my emotions, and she thought I did not love her."

"But since you did mess up, you realized how awesome and wonderful I am."

"Indeed. It is a mistake I would never like to fix."

"Glad to hear I receive love from you even if I don't realize it." Jim said with a growing smile as he pulled down Spock's head to kiss him again. At this moment of time, Jim knew that Spock – even if he's Vulcan – loved him for who he is, and there's no doubting that now.
