Very nice lighting and a pretty shot! To go along with the theme of your title - "following her" - I would suggest making this a landscape shot, with her on the right side of the frame, and make at least half of the photo just background. To me, that would probably give the photo a sense of movement, like you are actually following a little bit behind her.

Glad to be of help! Yeah, I know on many of my spontaneous shots, I wish I could go back and re-shoot them differently, but obviously can't. I figure, the more ideas you're exposed to, the more ideas you have floating around in the back of your head, and the more you can quickly make a decision on what would look interesting for those spontaneous shots.
