In an attempt to gain the upper hand in the war against Fuse, a Fusion Matter sample was purified so that it would no longer cause interference to the Omnitrix and could be scanned. Said experiment was partially successful, since although Ben can now access a transformation almost as powerful as Fuse and create several Fusion Monsters at his command, his purified Fusion Matter is weaker and is still in danger of falling under the control of the real Lord Fuse
