have you ever tried laying a layer of wax crayon down painting over that in oil then scratching out?
mad fun, and a really cool effect

sounds great! i think iΒ΄ll try it, i was wondering about other ways to make it look textured, in some point of this series i was thinking about using crayon, but not with scratch

oil crayon, i have tried, itΒ΄s alright, but iΒ΄ve only found Faber Castell, and they are a bit expensive over here
