Description
This was my submission for the Artstation challenge "Ancient civilizations: Lost & Found" - Character design. We were required to design 10 characters, 5 heroes and 5 villains, representing a certain ancient civilization. I went with ancient alien elfs, and these are the villains, the Purebloods or high elfs.

Nice variety with having elves combining vaguely humanlike appearnce with that of the more elegant beasts of the animal kingdom, like felines, stags, and birds of prey. I like it when elves are made more along the lines of mysterious beings that combine refinement with fear. It also brings the Dark Eldar of 40k fame to mind, to an extent.

Thanks! Though, the 40k Dark Eldar actually inspired the other composition, the one with Dark Elves - at least visually. Because, when I did this challenge, I sort of deliberately inverted the standard High/Dark elf dichotomy, making the High Elfs as seen here sinister, bloody and beastly psychopaths, and Dark Elfs simply mysterious and magical, but overall fine fellows.
