Description 21.11.2008 - EDIT: i wasn't satisfied at all with the first version of the picture, so i have re-edited it and now lights and colors are much more similar to the real conditions.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Corniglia, Cinque Terre - Italy.

Corniglia is one of the Cinque Terre, it means Five Lands, but a more appropiate translation is the Five Villages. They are, from east to west, Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.
The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides form the Cinque Terre National Park.
The Cinque Terre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site .

There is almost nothing I can say negative about this. The only small thing is that the light all runs up to the top right and then runs off the image. Otherwise this is just awesome. I could spend a lifetime waking up to that view and smile every time.

wow awesome looks like somewhere out of a fairy tale but I would NOT feel safe living in one of the ones really close to the edge

I guess that to live in one of the houses near the edge when there are strong storms has to be quite an experience

oh man, I love things like this. little towns nestled right into the side of a hill, that is so epic, yet so quaint at the same time. Awesome picture. I love it.

The colors are breathtaking! They blend in with eachother so well!

And the view is so amazing, it's almost magical.

Actually, no. That's what I like about it - the fact that it isn't magical at all. It's so realistic and, well, nature-y that it seems so unreal.

Seriously, this piece is just too good for words. (:
