Description James Callerson was born in New York City in 1923 and originally wanted to be a medical doctor. His father and grandfather served in the US Army before the United States was reunited with the Carolina Confederacy. In 1939 shortly after the invasion of Poland. The Carolina Confederacy Armed Forces started putting out posters and other information on joining the military. James Callerson happened to see one of these posters while riding a New York city bus.

James realized that a service in the military as a medical doctor would be very needed for the coming war. He immediately enlisted in the CC Army despite the protest of his father and grandfather. Some people in the former US despised the CC viewing it as the "evil confederate south rebels" but to James dismay the Army did not accept him due to him being 5'4 one inch shorter than the legally allowed inch (5'5). So he focused on medical studies until in December 1941 a surprise attack by Nazi forces with destroyers shelled Boston and New York City. The Carolina Confederacy immediately declared war and instituted a draft for all men regardless of height followed by Imperial Japan honoring its pact with the Carolina Confederacy and also declaring war on Nazi Germany.

James Taylor Callerson was ordered to report to a draft board which saw him fit for service despite his short stature. He went and completed Basic Training at Fort Jackson. An CC Army officer who supervised snipers saw that James had obtained a Rifle Marksman badge in gold asked him to take the sniper course as additional training and he would get additional pay and increased benefits post war. James went and passed the sniper course becoming the best marksman at Fort Jackson.

Prior to shipping out to Europe. He went to a tailor and had the tailor custom-make a camouflage uniform partially based on German helmet camo from WWI and some other camo that had sprung up post war. Despite his out of regulation uniform he was allowed to take it into combat if he so wished. He was issued a R-1 Autoloader sniper rifle and he landed in Normandy shortly after the Allied invasion and James made his way to the frontlines where upon he engaged in sniper combat.

Whilst the allies were pushing into Germany, James high kill-count attracted the attention of an expert Waffen-SS Sturmbannfuhrer sniper named Hans Dietrich who held the Knights Cross for over 200 kills on the Eastern Front. James and Hans would engage in a duel through sniper rifles in early 1945. James would be able to get an edge over on Hans Dietrich thanks to the interrogation of a top Waffen-SS official who was captured. James crawled to the base over a period of 6 days not sleeping a single day. Utilizing a suppressor attached to his R-1 Autoloader Rifle. He obtained the Waffen-SS Sturmbannfuhrer in his scope and immediately shot him. He spent two days crawling back slowly.

When he got back to base camp and he reported to his superior. He was given leave by General Patton personally and returned back to the CC where he was viewed as a hero and a celebrity of sorts. President Truman would award him the Confederate Medal of Honor along with the Confederate Gold Star and many other medals for his service. Once the holocaust was revealed in the now-occupied Germany.

He donated $50,000 to Holocaust Relief agencies and gave a yearly portion to many other agencies established post war to educate the next generation on the Holocaust. For this, he would be awarded in 1959 the Order of Anne Frank and Holocaust Remembrance (First Class) along with the Presidential Medal of Freedom by then-president Luke Mallikoat.

Pres. Luke Mallikoat established the James Taylor Callerson Sniper School which would train future marksman. James Taylor Callerson would also help the CC make the first full camo uniform designed on the camo-sniper attire he wore during his WWII service. He also gave $30,000 to the tailor who helped make it along with another portion of his salary yearly as a sign of thanks.

Uniforms (left to right) -
Combat Uniform - his uniform during WWII with a WWI trenchstormer helmet which offered more concealment thanks to its ability to be painted in the same camo. He also dyed his belt a OD green of sorts and the R-1 autoloader rifle magazine pouches as well.
M1925 Dress Uniform - the M1925 dress uniform he wore during the war on official visits and post-war for most of his touring and even visits even after the uniform was replaced by the M1950 uniform.
