Description
"Why did it have to be snakes."The cause of the existence of various demihumans in the realm can nearly always be attributed to magic transforming otherwise normal people. More recently it has mostly been rogue wizards doing experimentsΒ for effective, custom servants but in the ages past there were cults surrounding the various forms. These cults built temples to practice their rites, transforming either their sacrifices or chosen ones into more monstrous forms with the use of artifacts, depending on the particular group. These days demihumans live their own, free lives, free of the conditions that shaped their ancestors.
Still, some of the ruins still contain artifacts that hold power. This particular explorer discovered one and was certain she had found an amulet of longevity but was in for quite a surprise after picking up the item.

I'm so happy to have finished this. I've spent about a week - possibly more - working on this on and off. It's been a while since I spent quite as much time on a single drawing. I'm very pleased with the final result.

Her canines are slightly larger, enough to peek out in certain situations. Her form is that of a constrictor though. Still, a futue enchantment could very well give her venom as well!
