nice pic! reminds me many yeas ago when I used to visit my granny at the sumemrtime...she has the same windows and the landscape in the background looks familiar ...

it's so lovely.
i really like the expression of the feet. it shows the inner feeling of the woman though i can't see her face. she's missing someone...

This is a lovely picture. I can't even put my finger on what attracted me to it, but I guess the framing by the other objects and the highlights on the person combined with the purple hue are what makes it work. Especially that natural framing...wow!
I have but one complaint, which is that there are a couple areas of distracting color in the otherwise gentle purple. The main one is the red thing by the bottom left corner - is it painted on the window? But also, there's kind of a green patch right between the person and the flowers. Those things seem to take attention away from the picture's atmosphere.
Regardless, this is still a good photograph. I like the emotion in it, especially the subtle way it is reflected in the person's crossed, clenched feet.
