although I do have a question for you: how do you make it so it's basically cut out and the background matches whatever it's on???
I don't know how to do that and I really want to!! please help me??

oh! it's quite simple (I can remember when I had the same problem >-<). Do you work in a cg program right? just to your sketch, later color the character and all the things that are in the foreground. when you finish, just put a layer under everything, and here is where you will draw the background.

I work on corel painter 4 and gimp....but I'm asking about
how it looks like it's floating without a background.
Like when I go to your gallery it's black in the background but then
when I press it, all the black disappears and there is no background =/

OH!!! I see!! sorry XD My english is poor XD. Ok ok, to do it, you must save it in .png format or .gif I think, but Im not sure of the .gif.
Just be sure there are not any background layer in the file, only the things you wanna appears floating ^^. Also, I am not sure about that, but at least when I save drawings that exceds the 700 x 700 pixels, this effect doesn't works :<
