This also includes using the same reference as previous art pieces as it counts as re-used art. Your entries will be judged against your gallery. This will not include reusing linearts for adoptables or reference images.Entries MUST be full bodyTracing is allowed. You must properly mention and credit reference images and make sure they come from a legal source Example: no just taking an image off google. I reccomend using free stock accounts as references.All breeds are allowed to take part but fantasy breeds should not use any abilities that ‘non-fantasy’ horses don’t have. Example: FlyingOne horse can enter each class only once. Riders can enter the same class multiple times with different horses. One horse per class per artist.Faults/Misbehaving are allowed but will reduce your score. As does breaking a rule.Falls will result in disqualification.Riders/handlers can be of any age but must have the ability to control their horse.Children and teenagers must be accompanied to the show by an adult.Horses that kick or bite must have a red ribbon in their tail (if kick), mane (if bite) or both.Unsportsmanlike behavior of any kind will result in automatic disqualification from the show. The stallion stood mesmerised as he stared at the snowdrops falling from the big white sky, his tongue slowly coming out of his mouth to gather a few drops to himself.
Around the middle of the gelding class, Victor revised the course for the last time, before saddling Headempty to the warm-up, it’s pretty simple and a fun jump off, many jumps after another, almost like a gymnastic can also be one of the courses that you can go for a bit more rhythm.
“it’s risky to try to take shortcuts because if you enter one line wrong everything can go downhill, play it safe and aim for speed while doing it, use Amdy’s large strides and big jumps to your advantage.”
Harper said while glancing over Victor’s shoulder.
“If I take any shortcuts and close the distance too much, everything might become way too tight and I don’t think I will be able to collect him in time, there'll be a risk of making a fault or worse.”

“Exactly.”

They were cautious on their way to the entrance, even with rubber boots and the ground being salted, extra caution have never hurt anyone.

“034, you’re next.”

The lady by the entrance gave a short nod and opened the gate as the pair presented themselves, Victor gave the exiting rider a brief congratulations before entering.

His nose was freezing, but his cheeks felt warm. His quick breaths leaving an opaque fog that quickly dissipates, waiting for the bell to ring.

The black steed only actually realised what they were doing the moment he heard the bell ring and the rider’s leg cues, slightly delayed, he took off in a canter, luckily on the right lead.

The only way that they actually could go to try to make the time faster would be between the second and third jumps, however, that could potentially provoke a fault in the upcoming jumps.
It had to be a super short curve and with every single movement extremely precise, if you turn too short, you’re facing the jump immediately after, and you mess up the distance; and the third, potentially the fourth as well, if you take too long you either hit the ninth jump or you open too much and loose the line and time.
“Too risky.”

They opted to pass after the ninth but close the curve as much as they could, being able to enter the line nicely.
As predicted the course is super fun and nice flowing, victor almost forgot that it was snowing and that his nose was basically screaming for warmth by how much fun he was having.

Amdy was also having fun, he was just going with the flow, not needing to think much, exactly the way he wanted, that ended up causing a close call when he decided to overjump the seventh jump and made it super tight, they took from under the jumped, chipping in and basically jumping it like they were doing a pursuance round.
The landing was…. Something. Victor hit his nose, his poor nose, on the back of Amdy’s head, he let out a small grunt come out of his mouth but didn’t even have time to process it, the liverpool was right there.

“It’s nearly over buddy, cmon”

Without being able to count the strides properly, he had to go with the “feeling”, luckily, he got it right, they now had time to prepare and sort themselves for the last few jumps.
It was the easiest line so far, Victor let out a sigh of relief when he saw the last jump approaching, he held Amdy back, collecting him so he doesn’t run over the jump, squeezed him lightly with his legs and they were off.

Amdy grunted as they landed, hoot breeze coming out as a dragon, unsure were to go, if it was over, if they were still going to jump, but Victor soothed him, asking for a halt, he looked back, course intact, then he looked down at his coat, the white show shirt, now with splashes of red all over it.
“Dammit.”
He frowned for a moment but then a soft smile formed.
“Well, it’s Christmas after all, gotta wear something red.”
Amdy received his well deserved pats on their way out, Victor was quickly directed to the nursery, although he insisted he was fine.
