I have been trying to snap this photo of my dove for a long time.I was waiting for her to find her way back up on my wall unit as I knew she would one day get back up on that basket.So I finally got to snap it

She is very comfortable in our home, we found her outside of our
window when she was just a baby and her wing and foot seem to
be hurt so we brought her upstairs and nursed her back to health
but we got close to her, just couldnt let her go. So we keep her and
she is a happy bird. Have her for 12 years now

So adorable! I wonder what it'll be for me to have a bird as some sort of a pet, flying around freely. A cousin of mine lost her little bird, he just flew off and never came back.

was something wrong with her wing and foot but we brought her

That's so lovely, the thought of a bird's injury leading to her finding a nice, warm home.
If I recall correctly, my cousin kind of kept the window/door open (probably garden area), and her bird flew out and never came back again. He was such a lovely bird, very tame, walking on/across the table when my cousin would hand-feed him.Β
