Rhys was a thug for some gang and one day they looted a shipping yard and one container contained an ancient evil. This was about the last straw for Rhys as this was the 4th time that month where something of that sort happened, that he had to narrowly escape thanks to the negligence of his gang bosses. So on the brink of death he willing offered this ancient evil his body in exchange for power to completely eviscerate all of those who used him to do their dirty work.
