Was the Scottish Terrier and the Akita supposed to look different than their real versions?

Well, in a way.
Akita-inu is in fact shiba-inu, but the only difference I see is the color of the coat.
Speaking about the terrier... It's a setter. 
Actually, it is the setter from famous russian book "White Bim, Black ear".
