Description Buchae Sori (보채 소리) means "the sound of a fan".
The sound of a fan is wind breathing quietly in your ear.

This is a revision of the previous deviation, "Precious Buchae".

I've been incorporating more Korean styles into my latest pieces. My favorite parts are drawing the norigae and the jeogori. ^v^ There is so much personality sewn into hanboks these days. I still own my original hanbok from way back when I was a little girl. Now I have a full sized one that I received from my mother that I have kept for years. Do you remember your first hanbok?

I don't ever mean to expand this into a full story...maybe. I don't know. I have so many unfinished things. lol

This is the story of Aehwa (애화). In circa 630 A.D. during Samguk Shidae (삼국시대 / Three Kingdoms of Korea) , Aehwa was born into the royal family of the Silla Kingdom with two younger sisters, Donghwa (동화), and Myeonghwa (명화). Since her father never bore a son, Donghwa would eventually take over his kingdom while Aehwa and Myeonghwa were to be married off to other kingdoms. Aehwa meets her betrothed, Prince Moon (문왕) of Baekje, and despite some misgivings, she falls in love with him in their teenage years. One hot summer, he gives her a fan with a tassel made with her favorite color, indigo, to represent the whispers that he would send on the wind to her when he went away to Baekje for royal training. The day when she is traveling to reunite with him a year later, her entourage is ambushed and she hits her head. She loses all memories of her time as a princess and becomes a scullion maid in a nearby village. Prince Moon never stops searching for her and as tensions between kingdoms become strained, it becomes imperative that they find her. Aehwa blossoms into a beautiful young woman and she holds the vibrantly colored fan that was found with her close to her heart. She is not sure, but she believes it is somehow very precious to her...

That back story you gave her tells me that you've really done a research on Korean history rigorously. That tree with flowers.... Man, I am utterly blown away by all the meticulous details you'd put on this piece.
