Description I-DID-A-NICE-COLORATION!

I can't believe it, I'm completly proud of one of my works. It hasn't happened in a while, I always feel a kind of emptiness in my head and heart when I draw something. But not here! Do the 6-and-a-bit-more hours of colouring help?

~Shiva-Anarion is having a contest about one of her favourite movies ever : El Laberinto del Fauno by Guillermo del Toro. I decided I'd participate and as she's one of my best friends I wanted to do something pretty. I really HOPE she'll be happy with it! (or I won't draw nothing for her any more until I die -_-).

Again, you hit on another of my fandoms. XD I love this movie, but I do wish they put a bit more on Pan's background. Did you know he was the only Greek God ever to have died? And my favorite greek god, besides. <3

Yeah I know a lot about greek mythology! ^^ But "Pan", I think, is the name given by the others countries to the fauna... In the Spanish version I don't think he has a name... Not sure, I should check!

Yeah, you're probably right. XD It's just I was so obsessed over finding out about that movie because here it's simply known as 'an's Labyrinth', so I thought they would elaborate more on the greek mythology. Took me a while before I realized the actual theme and setting. *slow*

Wow, excellent work! I watched the first half-hour of the movie and can't wait to see the rest (I promised a friend we'd watch it together).
I loved the bit I saw. You really captured the girl's tender and sweet nature. The composition is great too, I like the background blending into the characters.
The Faun looks fine (watchful yet benevolent), I bet he was hard to draw. All in all, congrats! Definite

Thanks a lot! The movie itself kinda disturbed me by its magical and yet horrible atmosphere... I have to let quite a long period before watching it again... But I loved it, it's a beautiful movie!

Thank you for the nice comments, but surprisingly, it's Ophelia who's been difficult to draw... For the Faun, I only had to take reference pictures. For Ophelia, I really wanted to show her sweetness... i'm glad you saw that! It means I'm not that rubbish! ^_^"

Yeah, it's rather dark, however I like how it's different and original. And there's a sadness in it, but also poetical.
Ophelia is drawn wonderfully. Don't think little of yourself, your artwork is great. Few people can display emotions and have their own style shown in their art.
