As jellyfish are mostly water based creatures, Cleo gets shorter when he goes up to the surface, they need to get constantly hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
Genuinely enjoys collecting empty bottles, they even have a collection of bottles from different shapes and sizes.
They are quite short sighted.
Their movements and reactions can often be seen as slow and sleepy.
Still live with their mom, however they’re independent from her, I swear.
Gets easily distracted by music and flashy shows.
Both in the water and on the surface Cleo needs to take care of not getting too exposed to the sun.
A couple of bottles full of water.
A travel diary, it’s often guarded inside a plastic bag.
Big hat, at least it keeps Cleo’s head safe from the sun.

Cleo's personality can sum up in a young adult with a strict self-perspective. They have a strong sense of responsibility, trying their best in the things they get involved in. This self of responsibility comes to make Cleo a perfectionist sometimes, they are very self-critical, thus, this can make them act a little harsh towards themself. Cleo is also a loyal young merfolk; they will follow and trust those whom they consider their friends or close ones. Despite their shy and sometimes hermetic personality, Cleo is a kind person, they will try their best to help those around them, even if they can also come as clumsy due to their constant slow reactions and their oblivious nature.
Cleo has an awful memory, they forget stuff really easily, this has forced them to make the habit of writing as many important facts as they can before they forgets them. This oblivious nature conrtibutes to Cleo's self-critical attitude. Despite this, they will try to appear to everyone else as a relatively laidback person with soft manners and a sleepy voice.
Cleo was born in a big, loving family as the youngest of several siblings. Their parents were both scholars, his father was more interested in collecting information about the human world while his mother was more centered on documenting their people’s life and history. They were a modest family, all their children were most likely to follow their path as scholars or explorers.
During Cleo’s early years, it was his father who would usually go to the surface to learn more about the so-called humans, his mother would stay at home most of the time, taking care of her children and sometimes exploring nearby sunken ships. At that time, young Cleo would feel a childlike awe to everything their parents would tell him, for the young child, the surface seemed like a mysterious place full of surprises and wonder.
As time passed, his siblings would go on their own way, looking for a place by themselves. Cleo was a young teen when he began to notice that not everything could be magic and wonder on the surface. One day his father passed away after struggling with a mysterious disease, this devastated Cleo’s mother, who would get seriously worried about her youngest child's fate, as he always showed to be the most keen on following his father’s path.
A Jellyfish lifespan is quite short, to be honest, and Cleo knew it; however this never stopped him from taking the decision of following his father’s steps as a scholar. As soon as he got old enough to leave his mother’s side, he chose to be a scholar by his own, merpeople life was always full of wonder, at least by Cleo’s eyes, thus he often goes from reef to reef to document fellow merfolk’s history; but the so-called human world always made him wonder about so many things. Despite his lack of experience, he chose to go up to the surface from time to time, in order to collect some information about the humans. He’s still rather young and inexperienced in his current work, but he hopes some day the information he collects will be useful for his people.
I'm fine with most themes, from the most slice of life to more serious. However, I'm not comfortable roleplaying emotionally distressing situations or explicit torture.
