The picture looks Impressionistic. I'm glad that you used a variety of green because it gives depth and shading. But on the grass, I think the individual grass blades stood out too much. Some of them look too thick. Smaller strokes would've covered this.
The shading on the tree is good for the most part, but, again, the dark lines stand out too much. It takes away from the impression. It would've been better if this was blended in a little more.
I can see how well you did the lighting on the far left. I love how I get the impression of light coming in.
One last thing; the road. Perhaps a little more blending of those little lines you see on it?
The high point of the piece (to me) are the green dots used as leaves. They coordinate so well together and are pleasing to the eye.
I think you did a fine job, but as always, the artist strives to improve. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="387" title=" (Wink)"/>

Thank you for the lovely, helpful critique ♡
It's funny how I only see these things after they're pointed out! I completely agree with everything you said. This was my first try with pastels ever, I found making smaller/lighter strokes challenging at first, given the difference between handling them and pencils, haha. I'm glad you liked the leaves though, I agree that they turned out best.
I'll take this all on board next time I try this sort of thing again!

Thanks for accepting my critique openly.
Yes, it's funny how that works. I suppose that's why critiques are helpful. A fresh pair of eyes.
Well done for your first try! They're definitely different from pencils which have the fine point for details.
