As well as practicing their new powers.

They didn't wear it during the funeral as Mond, Lune, Zane, Cole, Jay and Master Wu were the only ones to know of the existence of the sunstone and the sun power.

After the funeral, 6 months later they "disappeared" taking the shrine and most their stuff with them with only Master Wu knowing that they left due to a vision. Cole, Zane and Jay wouldn't get any answers after almost a decade.
