just another sunset pano...again from the door step...3 horizontal shots...taken around 8.45...in between dinner and a movie... it's 6000x1320 pixels, including the border...
hadn't even attempted a pano since re configuring everything in my computer and losing most of my photos (thank god for dA else I'd have nothing left)...so I decided it was time to try again...

my computer chucked a spaz and kept freezing and restarting itself, so my brother (being and I.T. nerd) said that about the only thing i could do was a complete reinstallation of windows... I said okay, because I wanted my computer to work... but I didn't back up all the files I had in my shared folders because Adam (that's my brother) said that he'd copied them to his folders so he didn't back those up...just everything I had in my My Documents... but... he didn't have everything from the shared files on his computer as he thought he did...and that's where most of my pictures were. I still have some because I'd put them on my USB, and I had a a few on random discs that hadn't be rewritten (my family are believers in the CD-RW, so if they find a disc that they need, regardless of what's on it, they'll scrap it and re-write it... I make a habit of asking first(this was before we got our USB drive thingys) but yeah)
So...I THOUGHT everything was backed up....but it wasn't... but oh well...
At least I still have everything I posted on DA, even if they are the original big size so that I could get them printed one day, but it's okay. I'm kinda over it...kinda...it'll be okay... I'm a bit shitted that I lost everything, but worse things could happen right?

yeah....it's huge....don't do it... I leave them big so that I can later download them if my computer shits out on me again...I think it's a fine view at 900 wide...but if you want, i can change it to be a bit bigger at full view so you can save the image from the page...if you want...

Do you use a software to make panoramas, or do you do it yourself?

I take however many shots I want to take for it and then use photo to put them all together and line them up and blend the edges and such...I'd much rather have some kind of programme that did it for me though...it looks pretty dodgy if the edge aren't quite done fully....so I do it myself...

Yes, I know that problem. Try AutoStitch ([link] ), it's a really nice, FREE programme for panoramas and most often (not always) is able to adjust the colors etc, so the whole thing fits quite nice!
I love panoramas, but until christmas I didn't have a tripod and doing it by all hand is quite hard work!

I don't have a tripod either...I end up cropping a bit off the top and bottom to make it so that it has straight edges...
