I wonder who the starters will be in "Watchemon"? It seems we don't really have a regular water type, regular fire type, or grass type, but that might change in the future(doesn't seem likely we'll get the third one, but it's possible, or maybe grass type will be replaced by steel in the starter lineup). Also, I think it would have been interesting if Fridge evolved into a Bradstion Pokemon.

Β Originally I wanted to make Soldier, Mercy and Reinhardt the starter mains since they are the quintessential versions of DPS, Support and Tank in Overwatch. It was never really gonna add up to the water/fire/grass type concept though so I just ran with whatever looked good.
Maybe the new hero, Efi, might be good as a grass type?

A lot of people are thinking it's not going to be Efi(because having you be able to gun down an 11 year old girl and feel good about it is not something Blizzard would do, at least not in Overwatch. That, and they tried child sized characters before in Overwatch, they were too hard to hit) pretty much everyone is in agreement that it's going to be a robot that she makes. Ergo, another steel type.
Honestly, BASTION of all characters was probably the best option for a grass type, because of his overgrown skin and obsession with nature. Maybe an evolution into the new buffed!Bastion that requires Fridge to survive one year?

Ah, I hadn't thought of that, that ain't a bad idea! Though I didn't want to miss the chance of making Bastion the ??? type. Gonna log that one for the future of the project.
I reckon Efi could still be playable but end up being taken out in a non-lethal way. Maybe as a hologram piloting her mech or something.
