Description
Fluttershy sat quietly on the grass. She enjoyed the solace at the edge of Ponyville, away from most of the sound and farther away from the Everfree Forest than when she was back home, at her cottage. Flutters turned her head towards the sky, closing her eyes slowly. The sun warming her face, the breeze soft and, almost perfect.
She heard the loud patter patter of shoes far off, and it was getting even louder. Fluttershy opened her eyes quickly, turning her head from left to right, quickly taking in her surroundings. She could make out a little person, running very quickly her way.
"Is.... is that..... Rainbow Dash?" Fluttershy said to her empty surroundings. She squinted and smiled as she found her observation correct. The thought of Rainbow Dash running to her, to share a quiet moment together, always made her smile. When Fluttershy looked up Rainbow was almost on top of her, a huge cloud of dust enveloped them both. Fluttershy coughed and swayed her hand in front of her face to clear away the dust and dirt.
"Rainbow Dash.... *cough* why are you... *cough* here?" Fluttershy took breathes between coughs only to inhale more dust.
"Fluttershy are you okay!?" Rainbow Dash yelled to Fluttershy, a little louder than usual.
"*cough* oh, yes I am *cough* I am fine," she smiled happily at Dash. Rainbow Dash looked relieved, but quickly became angry, then worried.
"Fluttershy, why didn't you tell me?" Rainbow Dash asked, still too loudly, "I would have helped you." Her voice went sad as the last words left her mouth. Fluttershy looked away.
"I.... I didn't want to worry you......" She stammered "I.... I..."
"Fluttershy......" Rainbow Dash looked at her friend. "Hey," Dash lightly punched Fluttershy's shoulder "If you ever need help, on anything, you know that I'm the one to ask, Okay Shy?" Fluttershy looked into the rose eyes of her best friend. "I will always be here to help you Fluttershy." Rainbow grinned, Fluttershy smiled softly.
"Okay.... I... I will Rainbow Dash," Fluttershy smiled bigger as she said those words. She slowly moved her eyes to Rainbow's rainbow mane. It was so beautiful in the soft light of the sun. But Fluttershy quickly lost her thoughts when a twig snapped and a bush rustled. She squeaked and Rainbow Dash quickly grabbed her, pressing Fluttershy against her in a tight hug. She blushed as Dash squeezed her closer to her chest.
"Um.... Rainbow Dash?" Fluttershy said softly.
"Don't worry Shy, I won't let anypony hurt you." Rainbow Dash looked over her shoulder to better look at the evil little bush. Fluttershy opened her mouth to say something.
"I... I know Dash... I just.... like you holding me."
"What?" Rainbow Dash turned her head instantly to look at her pink haired friend. Fluttershy blushed deeper, ducked her head and hid behind her hair in embarrassment.
"Um, what did you say Fluttershy?" Dash smiled and lightly blushed. Fluttershy pushed hard against Rainbow's blue tank top, freeing herself from the extremely hot arms of Rainbow Dash.
"Nothing.... I..... I... I have to go." Fluttershy sped off as fast as she could towards her cottage, passing a few of her friends as she did. Fluttershy hid her red face behind her hair at every encounter. When she finally reached her home she sped to each door and window, making sure they were all locked properly, and stuffed pillows up her fireplace. She breathed hard and wiped sweat from her brow.
"Had.... had.... had she smiled when I said that?" Fluttershy asked herself quietly. She took a pillow off of her sofa, and looked at it. It was blue. Fluttershy smiled softly to herself.

"I...I think..... she did...."
