Oh, my dear god... I can't feel my fingers. I think a couple actually broke off and now I can't find them. . . . on the floor here - somewhere.Anyway! This took me about, oh - I don't know - 14 hours to complete. Over the course of two days, of course. Please keep in mind that I have JUST learned how to paint. Period. First painting ever. And I suck at backgrounds. Gotta find a tutorial for that.
The original sketch is NOT MINE! I don't draw aminals so well, so the credit goes to for the sketchy sketch! I just painted. Hope you like it. Please critique.

yea, well. just ask anybody about my comments and you'll find that i am very encouraging about what i say, but then look at the crowd i hang out with and tell me how i can say anything bad about anything they do. as far as your work goes, their is no reason to feel down about your skills nor be discouraged. if anything you should feel elation, what you have just done is taken a line art from one of the most talented artists on da and transformed it into something that transcends beauty itself. regardless if this is your first or not it is incredible and no amount of praise from me nor anybody else can bring justice to your skill or ability. and seeing as how this is your first painting i can only assume that your skill will continue to grow in the future and become something truly benevolent in its very essence. i congratulate you again on your tremendous ability and genuinely hope to see more of you work in the near future.

yes, i do enjoy typing, and any time i find out that somebody as talented as you are starting to doubt their own abilities i take it as my personal responsibility to pester the hell out of them until they (even superficially) admit to their superiority

deffinition is Clairty the crispness of the image, rather then some vague bluriness.

first painting ever?? that's insane. this is fabulous. the contrast in shading is really well done, and the the mask and ring r colored terrifically--u gave em a lot of depth so that it has texture. the colors r wonderful, too. and for sum1 who sucks at backgrounds, u astound me. cus that's actually a really GREAT bg! i luv how it's jumping out of the water like that. AHH I LUV IT!! thank u soooooooo much for coloring it

Thank you. They say that a computer won't paint for you, that the artist does most of the work. But really, as long as I took my time with everything - they sort of worked themselves out. I still don't know how I did it! lol! You know, if you compared it to my other stuff . . . weird.
