Sorry for the TL;DR lately. I am writing so much in these comments...^^'
I've always wanted to do a character with make-up, and now it doesn't matter how gaudy it looks yeyyyyyyyyyy- /shot
I blame ~PattyCake1992 all the way. Now...to join or not to join, that is the question... /conflicted;;;; I might not even get accepted, aha. My character is kinda lame Q A Q... ||OTL But I do want to be with Patty so sjkdfaghgjk;;;

Stage Name: Glossy Glass
Position in the circus:
Glass-walker: in addition to being able to walk upon broken shards of glass, Flarissa can walk on nails, hot coals, and various other small sharp objects. She can perform small feats of jumping on the glass, balancing on one foot, twirling around, and sometimes juggling if she practices.
[Freak show: She could function as a sub-section of the freak show because of her dwarfism. If someone is need to bake for the circus, she could do that too?]

Personality:
Basically a very hyper child from the start, Flarissa learned at a very young age that if she couldn't figure out how to entertain herself, she would get no entertainment at all. This being said, she is very tiring sometimes because her antics never end, but on the bright side, she's okay not being the center of attention all the time. Not quite cheerful, she can say some pretty dark statements with nothing more than a quick smile, so she could be called more energetic than jovial. She adores to play games of any sort with people, even if she's bound to lose, and finds wonder in everything from a person to an earth worm. She's not childish, per se, but she prefers to not embrace the darker side of reality, instead focusing on the adventurous "fun" side. Flary still plays "make-believe," especially when her legs are in pain from her disease and she can't move about. One might think she'd be a very balanced person, but being so light-weight can actually cause her to topple over easier if someone bumps her or if the wind blows too hard, who can say.
+ Talkative/chattering, straight forward when she wants to know an answer and will take basically whatever answer she gets within reason, generally friendly, curious, "gung ho" for adventure, generous with her possessions
- Sometimes nosey, morning person [I see this as a bad trait ||OTL], a bit insensitive to people who want to be left alone, clingy [You play with her once...she'll probably come back the next day], gets into a rotten mood if she's tired, thinks the whole world is one big bunch of friends until people prove they don't like each other, can have occasional breathing attacks that won't go away without time or water, is almost...too willing to do anything for stardom, aside from harming the circuses or freak shows she is bound to, she also often forgets how small she is
History:
It all began with her name, her obviously uncommon, odd name. After birth, it is the parents' job to take their child to receive a birth certificate and formal documents, and being the upstanding bakers that the Whitbread's were, they took their darling Clarissa to have her papers written out. Filling out the papers and such took almost no time at all, and everything ran smoothly up until the point when her father had to write her name upon the long, bold line emblazoned in center of the birth certificate. Unused to writing in fine script, as he was a baker, not an author, the baby's father dipped the pen into the inkwell- yes, an inkwell, because calligraphy-tip pens look much more regal than regular ones- just a little too much, and one small drop of black changed who should have been Clary to Flary. The certificate was expensive to produce, with all the gold leaf and embellishments, so the two parents left the 'C' with its accidental flourish in the middle [Making it look something like this: €], and went home discontented.

After the not quite tragic naming accident, Flarissa grew up- or rather, she didn't grow up. At age five, she was barely taller than a foot and a half, and by the time she was ten years old, she was just brushing over three feet. Perturbed by her lack of growth, Flary's parents took her to a doctor who quickly pronounced her a victim of achondroplasia, a growth hormone disorder, a disease that hit one in twenty-two thousand babies. Her parents were flustered, of course, since neither of them were dwarfs, but after some explanation from the physician, they arrived at the conclusion that Flary was just that unlucky one. They took her home, now aware that their supposed to be normal child would have the potential problems of breathing improperly, numbness in her legs, and would grow to be no taller than 4'. Her father couldn't bear the pain he saw in his wife's eyes every time Flary would fall over, gasping for air that her lungs won't give her; he did the one thing he knew, something common in the family. He sent her to his sister.

Growing up with her aunt was not supposed to be a hard thing, but it was. Flary's father couldn't have possibly known that his sister's son dealt in human trafficking, or he wouldn't have sent her. The instant she met her cousin, he marked her for sale to some circus or freak show. The more talent someone as odd as Flary had, the better she would sell, and thus the more money her cousin would make. Forcing her to learn how to walk on glass was a painful, long process. It took her months to figure out how to balance upon the jagged shards without slicing her feet open, and she would often run crying to her aunt, yet not telling her the truth of how her feet ended up so bloody. Her cousin had promised to make her a star, and she naively believed that becoming a star would make her parents want her back, because then she'd be useful and could help bring in money.

A year went past, Flary turned eleven, mastered how to walk on glass, and her cousin sold her to a sketchy freak show as a glass walker dwarf, something unusual as dwarfs were dwarfs, and didn't serve any other purpose. There, she was treated as the star she had been dying to become...for the first week. After the novelty wore off, she was put to work, once again forced to learn how to walk on other sharp things, and eventually how to jump, twirl, and balance all her weight on them. Her days were long and boring, but when her time came to perform, it seemed to make everything worth it. The one thing missing was her parents presence, and she still hasn't seen them since she was sold as a glorified slave to the freak show. Two years went by, and she was passed from show to show, always thinking about her parents and if they ever looked for her. At thirteen, she found herself here, at Cirque des Horreurs, and committed herself to the little circus. She had known no other life-style besides performing for so long that it only seemed natural. Now her infectious grin will welcome you, welcome you to Cirque d'Horreur.

○ Candy and fruit, the two sweet things she didn't see much of as a baker's girl; you can gain a favor for an orange, basically
○ Puppies, she's always badly wanted a dog
○ Performing, because that one moment when everyone's attention is hers thrills her
○ Musical instruments, though she can't play anything above tooting a whistle/flute with no keys, but she will plunk away at a piano to no discernable melody
○ Clean glass; might be a no-brainer, but if her glass is dirty and she happens to mess up...tetanus shots ahoy!
○ Being carried on someone's back or shoulders- this is more of a LOVE x'D

Dislikes:
• When she can't move and explore, monotony, consistency in routines
• People that tell her to mind her own business or call her "kid"
• Centipedes/millipedes, even though other creepy-crawlies don't bother her
• Large crowds of inattentive people
• Getting stepped on, shoved, or anything of the related on accident or on purpose
• People who don't share
Additional information:
○ She does offer to go by Flary [pronounced flare-y] if she gets to know a person past "Hello, what's your name?"
○ She can bake anything from loaves of bread to soft rolls because of her family's background, but she does not bake cookies/sweets/pastry-type things. Finding baking quite enjoyable and familiar, Flary will start whipping together some baker's fare if she can get her hands on an oven and ingredients.
○ Due to her disease, she has a large forehead, a flat nose, shortened upper arms/legs, small feet, double-jointedness, breathing problems, and misaligned teeth. She can also suffer from brief periods of numbness in her legs, during which she is immobile, and from difficulties breathing if she gets too worked up, which is much more rare. Flary is hyper, but not overly emotional/athletic.
○ Her smile is lopsided.
○ Also, her hair color is not naturally so, she dyes it for visual appeal; the natural color is that reddish part on top, above the orange. It has never been cut, only trimmed.
○ She stuffs her costume's bust during performances to not appear so flat. /shot
○ The bottom part of her costume detaches easily so she can perform her tricks, leaving a leotard-type outfit with the ruffled skirt you see. Those are ribbons on her upper piece, with beads attached to the middle so they'll flutter and fan out when she twirls- they're not stripes. All the marks on her face/legs are sparkles/gemstones glued on or make-up, not tattoos.
○ Flary is sensitive over her hands, always keeping them soft and clean, most likely due to the scars on her feet that she has to cover with make-up.
