Well, you would need another accessory besides the ring.   A pair of curved horns on your head.

Yeah, I know they are terribly expensive.  I am trying to put together a Maleficent costume for my wife for Halloween and  I had been eyeing those rings and necklaces, but they are just way too much for my wallet right now.   I have to look at cheaper alternatives.

Yea. The ring is awesome but my jeans and T-shirt wouldn't do it justice.

The artist has a right to charge that much, the quality and the work is just stupendous! But yea... Leaves skinny wallet people like us on the sidelines, admiring from a distance.  

Hey good luck with the Maleficent costume! Are you going to be the crow? Those two are the coolest pair!

Get a nice large collared black robe and you are already more than halfway there.

Yes it boils down to the wine taste, but beer budget scenario.   I too have to look for something cheaper for my wife's costume as that is just way too expensive.

It's a beautiful pendant.   Seriously this would go great with this one black dress my wife has that has a plunging neckline. 

LOL!  I don't know about that.  I don't look anywhere near Diaval.  However, I had thought of doing some face makeup with the scaring...so it is kind of funny you mentioned that.  I don't know though.  Right now I am concentrating on her.   We are coming on September and I still do not have all the pieces for her costume yet.

Yes, I do 'ship' Maleficent and Diaval as well.   In fact my fan-fic story does center around the two.

When it's all done you'll have to take lots of photos! With all your attention to details I'm sure she'll look fantastic.

Hope you have enough time to put together your own costume afterwards, but by the sounds of it either way you'll be walking in her shadow. It's a good shadow to walk in!

Well, I hope so.  As it is she will be different as because of my wife's facial features, it would be near impossible to do an exact version of Jolie's Maleficent.  But I am going to base it on that.

I will say that I have the top already and my wife just did up her face with 'regular' makeup.  She looked stunning.   Her necklace came yesterday and I can't wait to see her in that.

I do have the horns, but I still have to come up with a good way to mount them.  I am probably going to go the headband method.   I am unsure about using a wig or extensions.   The latter might be easier, but I don't know how it will look.

As for myself, the problem is that my wife's costume is going to eat up most of my Halloween budget.    I don't think I will make a good Diaval as I have receding BLONDE hair and I am somewhat overweight.   I probably would make a better King Stefan, but I don't want to be booed by the neighbors as anyone that has scene the film knows what a SOB Stefan was.

Yes, I would be walking in her shadow for sure, she most certainly will get the most attention.   She is already beautiful and I know I probably will be chasing after her horns the whole night.

I don't know, I could come up with something, but it has to be cheap.

Well Halloween is about dressing up as dark creatures and bad guys, so King Stefan wouldn't be out of place. But yea, nobody likes that guy.
What if you dressed as a dragon or a wolf? Diaval got turned into several things during the movie.

Yeah, I might get lots of boos going with Stefan, but I probably could pull that off.   I was thinking of doing Hades for a while since some folks here on DA have 'shipped' Maleficent and Hades.    But he looks like even a more complicated costume to do than Maleficent.  I also don't like the idea of covering myself in blue body paint...so I nixed that idea quickly.

Dragon is quiet a bit complicated as well and Diaval didn't like to be turned into the wolf.

Hopefully I will figure something out.
