I'm trying some stuffs out with this and again I failed horribly. Then I got bored and proceed to just finish this with my usual style plus some horrible cheap sakura effect for bg.
Sigh, my circumstances right now makes me pretty unmotivated.
On the other hand, I'm seeing a severe lack of charismatic Reimu fanart lately. Maybe it's the 'hate the main girl' syndrome.

It's less "Hate the main character" than it is "Hate the Mary Sue". Yorihime is getting this critique sometimes, but Reimu makes her look as bland as white paperhangings.

But the term 'simple' and 'detailed' seems to contradict each other unless you were referring to a different aspect in which let's be honest, this work is just a plainly(poorly) colored Reimu with a crappy background that there's virtually no commendable trait.
