My entry for ShadeofShinon 's contest~
The idea was to draw one of her current Nuzlocke team members representing a myth or legend.

I chose Solveig, because I absolutely adore the Altaria's design. Here she represents the "Bluebird of Happiness" or the bringer of the sun. This bird comes from Native American Folklore, hence the dreamcatcher. I though it would be fun to include one and as it brings the day and the sun it could take away the dreams the dreamcatcher caught, or so was my interpretation.
The Bluebird is also associated with the wind and weather, which fit Altaria pretty well, at least to me.

I spend the entire day colouring this, having a blast with the background and finding myself stuck in a huge challenge when it came to shading Solveig.

This might be my best drawing yet. I absolutely love how the background turned out. I really wanted to do Solveig justice by drawing her an as pretty as possible drawing and this pushed me to do my very best! Who knew I could draw a sky like this haha.
