~Nix's POV~

As I sat in the living room, eating my sandwich, I thought. Is Louis going to let me be his friend still? Did I even really care? The guy had called me disgusting. Maybe it'd be best if we weren't friends. That'd be fine. I could move on, find a different boyfriend. Smiling softly, I turned on the TV.

"... Around the Dermic area. Again, this man is armed and dangerous. Local schools are encouraged to increase security measures or shut down until this man has passed through the area. Dermic is only his recent attack of over fifty schools in the nation. Please, use caution when going to and from school and teachers, please lock up your classrooms and keep all blinds shut during class. Now, our local baseball team.." Dermic. That was only two towns away. I got up and went to the computer quickly, typing fast and examining pictures.

"Hey, Nix, don't lean so close to the-" Nox started as he walked into the room.

"He's coming! The guy that's been shooting up schools!" I shouted, falling out of the chair as I tried to get up. I scrambled up and grabbed Nox. He looked at me and sighed, putting his hands on me. I was suddenly calm.

"Chill the fuck out. How do you know for sure?" I took him over to the computer and pointed at each town I talked about.

"His pattern is town, skip one town, town, skip two, town, skip one, town, skip two." I pointed to Dermic. "His most recent attack. Two towns away. Before that, he hit Oner, only one town away from Dermic. Beverly is next." I looked at him to see fear.

"I.. I don't wanna die, Nix..." pulling him into a hug, I pet his hair.

"Don't worry, Nox, I'll protect you... Louis and Sezee will too, I'm sure..." since Nox's power was purely mental, he was weaker than the rest of us. That was how I was able to burn him when my flames would have merely tickled Louis and Sez. We've never been shot, but I'm sure Nox would be weak in that situation as well. Not that the others and I were immortal, just harder to hurt. Nox's sobs made me come out of my thoughts. Sighing softly, I pet his hair calmly.

"I love you, Nox.. I'll make sure you're okay.." he nodded, still crying in my shoulder. "I'll protect you.."

I leaned in a doorway as everyone walked to their lunch areas. I'd be late meeting my own group, but I had to do this. Watching all the rushing people go by, I smirked and grabbed one, yanking him into the doorway and shoving him against the wall. Sezee looked at me fearfully then smiled.

"Dude, don't do that, you scared me." when I didn't smile back, he got a little nervous. "Nix? What's wrong?" I grabbed him by his collar and yanked him to me.

"I've said it before and I'll say it again, you hurt Nox and I will set you on fire, no restraint." I sparked a fire on my index finger and brushed his cheek with it. "Wood burns so easily..." he squirmed.

"I t-told you.. I love him.."

"Then tell him!"

"I-"

"With your mouth!"

"Woah, what are you guys doing?" we both looked out of the doorway to see Louis and Nox.

"We.. Were just..." I let go of Sezee, thinking.

"Talking about the best sex. He doesn't know about oral sex." Oral sex? I gave Sezee a questioning look. He waved me off.

"Okay then.. Let's go eat." Nox smiled brightly at Sezee, who smiled back and put his arm around my twin's waist, pulling him against his side. Nox rested his head on his boyfriend's shoulder and Louis and I fell in step behind them. The couple started talking quietly and my twin giggled.
