Later that night, Dominic and I sat in my brother's hospital room. There had been minor complications during the surgery, but he made it out. He was still asleep.

"... Do you think he's really okay?" I asked. My boyfriend was quiet for a moment.

"... Yes." I looked at him after a couple seconds.

"You're saying that to make me feel better." he shrugged.

"Well, the machines are normal.. I think something would have happened by now if he wasn't.." sighing, I nodded lightly.

"I suppose you're right.." he smiled.

"Of course I'm right." I scoffed and shook my head, getting the TV remote and pressing the power button, I sat back next to Dom and shifted through the channels. He took the remote from me suddenly with an animated show on the screen.

"What the hell?"

"This is Tangled. It's like, the greatest animated movie ever made, don't even worry about it." Dominic said, setting the remote between his leg and the couch arm.

"Really?"

"Shh.. It just started. You'll like it. Come here, get comfortable." he lifted his arm and readjusted himself so he looked pretty relaxed. Sighing and smiling softly, I cuddled up to him and relaxed against his chest, watching the movie.

He was right. It was a pretty good movie. Whenever a song came up, Dom would hum to it, sometimes singing a few lyrics while rubbing my side gently. It made me laugh slightly and lean up to give him small kisses.

Currently, we were at the part when Rapunzel and Flynn were going out on the lake to watch the lanterns. Dominic took in a breath. "This is my favorite part." we watched quietly, and soon, a song started. Dom began humming along with it. Then, he sang, gripping my hand lightly.

"And at last I see the light..

And it's like the fog has lifted..

And the world has somehow shifted..

All at once everything looks different..

I blushed and looked at him. He was already looking at me, smiling softly.

He continued on, sitting himself up a little.

"All those days chasing down a daydream..

All those years living in a blur..

All that time never truly seeing..

Things the way they were..

Now he's here shining in the starlight..

Now he's here suddenly I know..

If he's here it's crystal clear..

I'm where I'm meant to go.." his edited version meshed with the true version nicely, and I blushed more, sitting up and watching him.

Dominic pulled me against his chest and brushed my hair back, singing softer.

"And at last I see the light..

And it's like the fog has lifted..

And it's like the sky is new..

And it's warm and real and bright..

And the world has somehow shifted..

All at once everything looks different..

Now that I see you.." he smiled and caressed my cheek. "I love you, Pierce.."

"Oh, Dom.." before I got the chance to press my lips to his, my brother started coughing. I gasped and jumped up, going to his side. "Kellen! You're awake! Are you okay?!" he calmed down and smiled softly.

"Yes.. I've been awake, I just didn't want to disturb you two.. You were so cute.. But, my throat got dry and decided to make me be known." I blushed and said nothing, getting him a cup of water. "Dominic, come here.." frowning, I watched as my boyfriend hesitantly got up and walked to my brother.

"Yes, sir?" I walked up to his other side, setting the cup on the available table.

"Come down here.." Dom looked at me, then leaned down to Kellen. My brother grabbed my boyfriend's shirt, staring at him. "I may be stuck in a hospital bed, but it will be no problem to kick your ass if you fuck with Pierce's mind again. Do I make myself clear?" Dominic nodded.

"Yes, sir. I swear, I'm not messing around." Kellen nodded and let go, looking at me.

"And you, you keep your virginity, do you hear me?" I blushed deeply. Oh, if only he knew..

"Y-Yes, brother.." he nodded and sat himself up, grabbing the cup and taking a long drink.

"Ah, that feels good.. So, I haven't been home. You two probably spent plenty of quality time together." my brother smiled at Dom. "Pierce hasn't told me anything, but you'd humor a poor sick man like me, right?" my boyfriend looked at me and I shook my head lightly.

"Sorry, Kell. I tried to convince Pierce to let me stay with him, but he wouldn't hear a word of it. Said you wouldn't like it." my brother stared at him, then looked at me.

"You really shouldn't have let him stay without telling me." I sighed and shook my head as a look of shock appeared on my boyfriend's face.

"I'm sorry, Kellen, he was pestering me and I figured you wouldn't want me to be alone.."

"But you also figured I wouldn't like it if he was there?" a nod. Kellen smirked. "Brat.. Hey, I've got that blood test scheduled for you.. It's two days from now at about four, so don't eat anything twelve hours beforehand." I nodded.

"Okay.. Are you gonna be okay tonight?" Kell smiled and nodded.

"I'm a big boy. Go home and sleep. I'll see you tomorrow." I smiled softly and leaned over, kissing his forehead and nodding to Dom. He nodded and gave a smile to my brother before leaving the room with me.

"He seems a lot better." he said softly.

"Yeah.. Taking care of his kidneys decreased his pain, I'm sure.. But ultimately, it's just putting off death for a while.." Dominic frowned lightly.

"There's no way to actually cure him?" I sighed.

"... He doesn't want to be cured." we reached his car and he looked at me.

"What?"

"He's tired of living." we got into the car and he sat quietly for a moment.

"But what about you?" I shrugged.

"I don't know what'll happen to me.. If something does happen." he looked at me and took my hand, smiling softly. I smiled back lightly, squeezing the hand.

"Well, hopefully we'll never need to find out.."
