MEIN GOTT, WHAT HAVE I DONE?!So my amica, ~xXGiggleDeathProXx , and I were talking about pairings for whatever reason... and eventually we decided to do a meme about it. I DON'T CARE ABOUT SHIPPING, OK? I've never been much of a shipper, but I'll admit that I've liked a few pairings and I know I've seen pairings that I hate. I don't understand what the big deal is about shipping, but... ajskf; WHATEVER! Let's get this over with!

[Spain x Belgium] - they're both cheerful people; Belgium stayed with Spain while her brother left.
[Prussia x Italy] - Prussia always calls Italy cute, refers to him as Ita-chan, and worries about him.
Can Handle
[Prussia x Hungary] - (more towards dislike) they've always been rivals; Hungary shows more interest in Austria.
[America x Japan] - they hang out a lot; America helped Japan become more open to the world; Japan confided his fears to America.
[England x Japan] - they get along well together; neither have many friends.
[Poland x Lithuania] - their close friends; Poland hates seeing Russia bully Liet (shown in Meeting of the World).
[Latvia x Estonia] - "LAAAATVIAAAAAA!" xD
[Russia x China] - close relationship in history; panda Russia stalker.
[Belarus x Lithuania] - poor Liet might as well give up, what with Belarus only having eyes for Russia.
[Japan x Taiwan] - Taiwan expressed a preference for Japan over China.
Don't Like
[Spain x Romano] - can't un-see Spain as a big brother or father figure (Italy refers to him as 'big brother'); Romano jealous of attention (and his brother) in general, not just for Spain's attention.
[Austria x Prussia] - they pretty much hate each other. Prussia wants to see Austria humiliated.
[Romano x Belgium] - Spain and Belgium are better together imo.
[Greece x Turkey] - they really, really hate each other.
[Russia x Latvia] - poor Latvia is picked on by Russia. D:
[Prussia x Canada] - I don't even. Their only interaction is Prussia eating pancakes Canada made. Told on an April Fool's Day blog.
[America x England] - can't un-see England as a big brother or father figure.
[England x France] - the English/French rivalry goes back a long time.
[America x Russia] - Cold War. 'S all I got to say.
[America x France] - I really can't think of a reason why I dislike it other than that I dislike it.
[Switzerland x Liechtenstein] - can't un-see them as brother/sister even though they're not really.
[Cuba x Canada] - ...just no.
[England x Seychelles] - England just wanted her as a colony; Seychelles kind of hates him; she frequently annoys him.
[Denmark x Norway] - Norway's always annoyed by Denmark; they have practically opposite personalities.
[Austria x Switzerland] - they used to be childhood friends but grew apart; Austria doesn't remember and Switzerland pretends it never happened.
[Greece x Japan] - they just seem... weird together.
[Italy x Japan] - Japan is often... unnerved by Italy's behavior, but are friends nonetheless.
[Germany x Austria] - ...kehe, West and the aristocrat. Don't make me laugh. Austria frequently annoys Germany, and freeloads off of him.

[Prussia x Russia] - Prussia hates Russia. Simply as that. I can list out the reasons why he hates him, if you want to know.
[Ancient Rome x Germania] - Germania was Rome's bodyguard; Germania delivered the killing blow to Rome; Germania is frequently annoyed by Rome.
[Italy x Romano] - they're brothers.
[Germany x Prussia] - they're brothers.
[Russia x Ukraine] - they're siblings.
[Russia x Belarus] - they're siblings.
[America x Canada] - they're brothers.
[Ukraine x Belarus] - they're sisters.
[Netherlands x Belgium] - they're siblings.
[Norway x Iceland] - they're brothers.
Guys, I think I killed my brain doing this.

lol, you clearly love and like a lot of pairings. xD Me, on the other hand, I just don't care or disapprove of pairings in some way, shape, or form. xD
So many reasons~ Historically-based, of course.
To clarify something, the Kingdom of Prussia became part of the German Empire (pretty much the driving force behind said empire), but after World War I, with Poland returning to the map, a region known as East Prussia became separated from the rest of the German Empire (have a map~ ).
The Allies of WWII (Russia included) dissolved East Prussia after the war. The land then became absorbed into Poland and the Soviet Union. An important area that Russia took control over was Königsberg, the first capital of Prussia and the capital of East Prussia. Königsberg is currently a Russian oblast by the name of Kaliningrad. The area's been fought over between Prussia and Russia before this - Russia once took Königsberg, but Prussia got it back. I imagine Prussia would be bitter in modern times about his capital being under Russia's control.
Going by the theory that Prussia also represents East Germany (considering he once mentioned him and his brother having an inseparable bond, but feeling as though there's a 'wall' between them) - there's a lot of problems arising there after World War II. The Soviet Union had control over East Germany and East Berlin, while the other Allies controlled pieces of the West of both Germany and Berlin. The West followed a democratic government, but the East had Soviet-controlled communism. Things weren't so well in the East, and tensions mounted between the Soviets and the other Allies to cause events like the Berlin Blockade, the building of the Berlin Wall, and so on. In a Hetalia sense, Prussia was mistreated by Russia and kept away from his brother Germany.
