I wanted to do an interesting angle from above...almost like a fish-eye lens without the distortion. I think I got the color for the skin wrong and maybe a little too dark, but for my first one I think its pretty good.

And I'm using watercolor at the moment. Acrylic is just too thick as I found out recently...so I opened up my watercolors again and its been lots of fun getting used to them again. The main thing I like to do with them is get a real light wash of color then gradually get darker and darker...its a lot of work that way but it gets the best results...at least for me.
My watercolors are from Dick Blick and I squeeze some out of the tube onto a palet box in each little section around the side of the box, let that dry and use it that way.
