Description Illustration of a scene from my story  Caged Giant pt. 2Continuation of Caged Giant. Mild violence and romantic themes.,CCaged Giant (Based off of the art below. Some mild nudity andShe could still smell his scent on her. Her clothes, her backpack, her hair. His existence pervaded all of her senses, even weeks after their initial meeting. Such is the overwhelming presence of a giant. Lingering long after they are gone. Despite being part of a human reconnaissance group gathering intel on weapons used to fight giants, Lark was not the same person she was before meeting, and subsequently, freeing a titan. Unbeknownst to her human teammates, of course; she was not about to out herself as a traitor. Yet still, as she traveled in the back of the convoy’s Jeep, looking out at the dark forest, she had the nagging feeling that her betrayal would be discovered. The roads here were dirt, traveled lightly and discreetly by groups of people similar to the one Lark worked with. Utilizing the old growth trees to weave paths around protected them from titans. Paved roads were not an option during this time of war, when their enemies stood over 100 feet tall. As the convoy of three rounded a bend, the trees thinned. Eyes were wide, scanning, as the vehicles sped up, covering the distance quicker. Being out in the open for too long could spell death for them. Just when the way looked clear, a loud crash boomed ahead. All eyes were forward as the vehicles screeched to a halt, narrowly avoiding colliding with the sudden appearance of an enormous log. Lark’s heart jumped in her chest as she observed the huge tree blocking the road, ripped out from the roots by a powerful force. As the convoy began backing up to skirt around the length of the tree, the people frantically scanned the forest for the source of the roadblock. It was a pitch black moonless night, with the only source of light being the headlights of the vehicles. “Get a torch out there!” One of the humans yelled from the back of the Jeeps. Flashlights flicked on, their beams of light scanning the surrounding forest. The vehicles crept along slowly, resuming their orderly fashion, while the forest fell eerily quiet. All ears and eyes were on the lookout, including Lark, who twirled around in her seat, shakily scanning the road. Her heart fluttered, a dismal hope that the tree that was launched in front of their vehicles with perfect precision was just a coincidence. But she couldn’t ignore the feeling that they were all being watched. Instinctively, Lark pointed her flashlight up, up, past the lines of the treetops. Though the light was bright, there was only a dismal illumination of a large, solid surface, like a white canvas. A jacket. Spanning the tops of the trees. Up, up crept the light. Enormous threading, a line of a single black zipper leading upwards towards the collar. His neck. His face. There was no mistaking it. The towering titan that loomed above the convoy in the cover of darkness, creeping closer, rolling his heels to mask the thunderous booms of his footsteps, was the giant Sky. His blue eyes flashed in the light as Lark’s torch illuminated him, exposing him. Suddenly, his eyes fixed on her vehicle. And just like that, an enormous hand shot out from the darkness. The vehicle rocked as log-like fingers gripped the sides of the Jeep, and the whole thing was lifted, up, up, off the ground. Panic. The car full of passengers screamed as they were dangled helplessly by the giant’s hand. Arms and legs flailed as those inside scrambled for weapons, the door handles, anything to combat this monster. Lark remained stunned in the back seat, her flashlight in her trembling hands. The man’s thumb squeezed and cracked the car door beside her, the same hand that once held her so tenderly. “Sky…!” She yelped, though her voice was drowned out by the shouts of her comrades. To the giant, this was just another convoy of enemies, trespassers. And as the roof of the Jeep was forcefully ripped, peeled off by the titan’s fingers, Lark and the four other passengers became like a can of sardines in the man’s hand. The five humans had no choice but to shout in protest as Sky hovered his fingers above them, thinking, calculating the first to be snatched. Though it was dark, the Jeep’s headlights still lit up, and Lark could see the dimly-lit face of the titan. It was not kind. In fact, to Lark, she was reminded of their initial meeting, back in his prison chamber. The titan nearly swallowed her whole to fill his endless pit of a stomach. Her heart sank, seeing his cruel face now in the car’s headlights as he held the large SUV effortlessly in one hand. It would have been easy for him to crush the car and everyone inside with just his hand. There was only one reason that he only destroyed the roof; to gain access to the enemy humans inside. To devour them. Devon, the one in the front passenger seat, was the first to be caught. Sky’s thumb and forefinger pinched down on his whole upper body and wrested him out of the seat belt. It was not a gentle grip, and all watched in horror as Devon’s limbs flailed hopelessly in the seat, the thick belt holding him in as the giant pulled and tugged at him until he was free, gone, lifted out of the Jeep and into the surrounding darkness. “Sky!” Lark shouted again from the back seat, shakily holding her flashlight up at the titan’s face. Her blood ran cold as the light illuminated his gaping, cerulean maw, Devon’s bound fate. “Stop, stop! Put him down!” Lark yelled at the top of her lungs as Devon’s shouts grew louder the nearer he was thrust towards the titan’s teeth. Suddenly, the titan froze. He closed his mouth and moved Devon aside as he tilted the vehicle towards his face. “...Lark?” He rumbled, peering into the exposed seats. The passengers fell silent as all eyes turned towards the blonde woman in the back. Lark trembled as she pointed the flashlight at her own face, pleading up at the hungry giant. This was it for her. Her relationship with the enemy was no longer a secret. Her words became lost in the silence that followed. Sky, suddenly conflicted, glanced to the human between his thumb and forefinger, then back to Lark. He let out a frustrated grunt before returning Devon to the passenger seat despite his flailing, and then proceeded to set the car back on the ground. The convoy sat in stunned silence as the titan retreated, leaving the torn Jeep and its passengers unscathed. Back into the darkness he went, no longer bothering to be discreet as his giant footsteps shook the earth until they were naught but a distant rumble. The moments that followed were frantic. The convoy halted and passengers poured from their vehicles, clamoring about what had just transpired. Lark was dragged into the middle, shoved and shouted at. Even Devon, whose life was spared by a hair, pointed fingers at the traitor. After it was all over, the convoy reconvened and drove off, leaving the one in the middle of the forest, with nothing but her backpack and a light. Lark was alone. Abandoned. Unwanted. The shaken woman trembled as she stood in the middle of the dirt road, watching the tail lights of the convoy drive off. They headed towards the outpost, where her group would convene. It was a ways away, deep in the forest, and the way back was just as long. She bit her lip, holding back a sob. Just like that, her life was ruined. What place did she have now that she was considered a traitor to her own kind? The forest was eerily quiet again. It seemed her only option now was to camp out here, with nothing but the clothes on her back. After collecting herself for a moment, Lark set out with her flashlight to scope out a place to hunker down for the night. “That… big, stupid, jerk.” She muttered under her breath in frustration as she huddled against the base of a tree. With no tools to cut wood, start a fire, or pitch a tent, this was the best she could come up with. “I guess it’s a good thing it was him, though… a different titan would have…” Lark shuddered to think of the outcome. In her mind flashed only images of Sky’s terrifying mouth, his hungry, glowing eyes as he moved through the forest like an enormous phantom. To think this was how their first meeting in a span of weeks would occur, after spending an evening comforting each other after Lark’s brave endeavor to free him. Suddenly, a loud hiss echoed in the forest. Lark’s eyes shot open as she glanced around. It was so eerily quiet until now, just what was that noise? “Lark.” A deep voice murmured from the darkness. Branches and twigs snapped and groaned as the weight of something enormous shifted slowly. He was here. Hidden in the inky blackness of the night… the titan. Lark rose to her feet slowly, shakily. The giant’s voice reverberated in her ears, her very core. Despite his size, it was difficult to pinpoint exactly where it was coming from. Did she dare answer him? Surely he was angry about missing out on his meal. “...Lark. I know you’re around here.” Sky rumbled again, and a loud thump sounded in her ears. The giant’s hand planted itself on the ground not far behind her, on the other side of the road. He was searching for her, likely on his hands and knees, scanning the darkness for her tiny self. Lark tried to remind herself that this enemy of hers owed her a favor. If he was the type to honor that, she would have nothing to worry about here. But she couldn’t shake her terror, her quivering knees as the giant’s massive body sent tremors into the earth. “Come on out… don’t make me rip out any more trees.” Sky uttered lowly. Was he bluffing? How could he possibly know her hiding place? Lark clapped her hand over her mouth as her breath quickened. His tone was not friendly. She had to conceal herself, or else… The air fell silent. Lark’s own heart threatened to beat out of her chest. She slowly looked to the side, staring out into the darkness… terrified at how easily the towering man was concealing himself. He was listening for her, no doubt. “Mmm… alright. You’re probably scared right now, huh.” The giant said clearly as he lowered himself to the ground, resting on his stomach. Though his night vision was better than a human’s, it was simply too dark to see without any moonlight. “I’m not gonna hurt you. Come on…” Sky rumbled as he laid still, his arms crossed under him as he propped himself up on his elbows. He waited there patiently, looking around slowly for a sign of the small human. Timidly, Lark crept around the tree. She peered out towards the direction of the giant’s voice and switched on the light. Only trees and inky darkness came into view. The flashlight could not penetrate far enough to where the giant was lying… but the light instantly revealed her location to him. “Oh, there you are.” The titan chuckled as he rose onto his knees and crept closer, shoulders bending trees and branches as he forced his hulking body through. Lark couldn’t help but cry out in fear as the giant pursued her. His massive size quaked the ground… branches snapped and clattered in the leaves as she fell on her behind, shaky light in hand as Sky’s face and shoulders came into view above her. “Hey, it’s okay…” Sky said, softer now, as he bent down to get a closer look at the frightened little human. “Geeze, I’m not gonna eat you, Lark.” He said as he finally got close enough to see Lark’s worried expression. Lark heard his words of reassurance, but in the back of her mind, she knew that if she was the first one to be snatched in that Jeep, she would have been eaten before having a chance to scream. And soon after, all of her teammates would have followed. “You almost did.” Lark uttered, lowering the flashlight so that it wasn’t in the giant’s eyes. She bit her lip in thought. “...again.” Sky let out a breath as he rested on his elbows. “Oh, come on… the first one doesn’t count.” “I was inside your mouth.” Lark retorted, clinging to her knees under the titan’s gaze in the cold night. “Yeah… but you fell in. That’s on you.” Sky snickered as he leaned in closer. His warm breath washed over Lark’s huddled body. “Well, you might as well just get it over with.” Lark said, her voice dripped with animosity. She couldn’t help but blame Sky for coming in and exposing her betrayal to her entire team. “Get what over with?” The giant asked with a tilt of his head. “I just wanted to make sure you were okay after what happened.” “Gee, thanks.” She retorted. “As you can see I’m just fine. Stranded out here in the woods, alone, no food, no water.” “Well…” Sky rumbled as he reached out and cupped his enormous hands around her huddled body. “It doesn’t have to be that way.” His face became soft as he encircled her with his fingers, not quite touching her frail self. Lark glanced around at the towering palms beside her. They were easily taller than she was, being less than the length of one of the giant’s fingers. His hands were yet again inviting her, beckoning her to give in. The woman looked up at Sky’s face, no longer filled with a predatory hunger. He gazed at her as if she was the most precious thing in the world. She trembled, feeling her body quake. Tears welled in her eyes until she couldn’t hold them back anymore. “I have nothing…” She whimpered, shuddering as the grief took over her and her body rocked with sobs. The giant’s hands cupped her entirely now, and she was lifted off the ground, encased within those gentle palms. Lark cried openly as the titan sat back with her trembling little body in his hands. Sky’s face was gentle, solemn as he brought her to his chest. He pressed her into his broad chest, holding her snugly against him as she cried. Lark’s entire self was swallowed up by his hand, nothing but a muffled, sobbing mess within his palm. Sky held her there for a while, letting her cry and soak his white and black jacket with tears. His expression was soft, as if he was comforting a child. Lark’s sobs turned to whimpers. Snuggled between his enormous hand and chest, she felt… safe. The patient giant waited until she was quiet before taking his hand away from his breast. He cupped her in his left hand as he brought her up to his face, squinting at her in the darkness, a soft smile on his lips. “Better?” He asked, and Lark timidly turned her flashlight back on so she could see. Lark quietly nodded, wiping tears from her face. She sat down in the middle of his gloved palm, sniffling. “I… I’m sorry, Sky… this is all my fault…” Lark said between sniffles. “Huh? What is?” Sky asked, confused. “I… I don’t know… I just feel horrible…” She said. “I turned you into a traitor, too.” “… don’t worry about that.” Sky responded. “I’d still be locked up if it weren’t for you. I couldn’t just leave you out here by yourself…” “But… what do we do now? I can’t go back to my team… and you can’t be seen around other titans with a human… right?” Lark asked. “Don’t worry about that. You’re easy to conceal.” Sky chuckled as he slowly started to stand up. “Ahh, I guess you have no choice but to ride along with me.” He added with a wink. “Really? You… you’d carry me around like that?” Lark asked, astonished. She didn’t expect the titan to be so welcoming towards her, an enemy. Sky stood up to his full, towering height, over 100 feet tall. He cupped the woman under his chin as he gazed down at her, smiling. “It’s not like you’re heavy.” He giggled. Lark stared up at him, his massive face filling her vision. Her flashlight was pointed down, towards his chin and lips to keep from blinding him. She tried hard to erase the image of Devon being lowered into that very mouth of his earlier, illuminated by the headlights of the seized vehicle. She shuddered. The fact that she had been inside his mouth not once, but twice before, did not calm her nerves after witnessing Sky’s terrible hunger. Was it truly a wise decision to trust this giant? Sky followed Lark’s gaze towards his lips. He tilted his head slightly and parted his lips as he breathed on her. “You’re not… afraid of being eaten, are you?” He asked her gently. Lark blinked as she found herself fixated on those parted lips of his. She glanced up at his eyes, which were rather concerned. “Isn’t that what titans do?” She asked softly from the hands of the titanic adversary. “… sometimes.” Sky responded solemnly. He thought back to how he almost devoured Lark and her entire team. It’s true that if she wasn’t there to plead with him, he would have certainly continued the onslaught. “I feel like I’ve just gotten lucky with you, somehow.” Lark said as she looked up at him. “Twice, now. We would have never even known each other’s names. Gone, just like that.” Sky fell silent. He lowered her away from his face as he stared at her. So small, so vulnerable. “Gone, huh…” He bit his lip in thought. To the titans, humans were typically seen as pests, disposable and edible. Lark was the first human to have a name to Sky. “That’s what happens to us, Sky. That’s why we fight… or hide.” Lark said solemnly. “It’s terrifying to go up against an enemy that can snuff us out like insects…” “You’re not… you’re different, though.” Sky said softly. “I don’t want to hurt you, Lark.” “But you’ll kill and eat other humans?” Lark asked. “…If they’re a threat.” Sky sighed. “You saw what they did to me… what they’re capable of.” “I also saw you peel the roof off of an SUV like it was made of tinfoil…” She retorted. Sky’s lips tightened awkwardly. He held in his hand the very person that happened to be inside that Jeep. He started to imagine what would have happened if he had just stomped the car flat before even looking at the passengers… “Look, I’m… very hungry. All the time.” The giant uttered as he continued to keep Lark at a distance from his face. “Though I can go a while without eating, especially if I supplement with beech and maples.” Sky gestured to the trees surrounding them as he stood above the treeline. “Humans are just… easy to catch. And… more enjoyable to eat than trees.” As he said this out loud, he started to realize how sordid it made him out to be. “So we were just… a midnight snack.” Lark retorted, folding her arms. “Hardly a threat, at that.” “What do you expect from me? We’re in a war.” Sky said. “How’m I supposed to know if your friends are piloting Black Boxes or not?” “Are you kidding me? Only the rich have those. And the military. We’re just a bunch of insurrectionists.” Lark said, waving her hands wildly so Sky could see. “I see. Hmm.” Sky rumbled as he cupped his hand around Lark’s little body and brought her close to his face again. He peered at her curiously, quirking a smile as he observed her petite frame. “...What?” She responded, drawing her hands close to her chest as the giant gazed at her with his glowing, blue eyes. “You don’t really strike me as the insurrectionist type.” The titan chuckled. He brought his index finger up to her with his free hand, the pad of his fingertip as wide as she was. “Little thing.” He rumbled as he gently pushed the tip of his finger into Lark’s tiny, trembling chest. “Hey…” She retorted, breath catching in her chest as the enormous digit pressed down on her, squishing her into the pad of the giant’s palm. “Y-you’re a giant, we’re all little to you!” Lark managed to blurt out. She squirmed underneath the pressure, face flushed pink as she glanced up at Sky’s smug, grinning face. “Yeah. But you’re like, extra little.” The giant uttered as he released his finger and held it above her. “Mhm. Not even a mouthful.” “Please don’t compare me to food.” The tiny woman squeaked out from the giant’s palm. “Relax. I already said I won’t eat you.” Sky smiled as he leaned in closer to the human in his hand. “Doesn’t mean I won’t tease you, though.” He snaked his blue tongue out from between his lips and slowly ran the tip of it along the top of his jaws. “Sky…” Lark huffed in embarrassment as the titan messed with her. She wasn’t exactly in the mood for his games, especially with how little of his face she could see with the flashlight. “Yes?” He responded cheekily, and Lark could feel his breath on her. “You’re being naughty!” She said, pointing her finger at him from within his encompassing palm. Her heart jumped as the limited light of the torch illuminated the giant’s teeth as he grinned in response to her accusation. “This is nothing.” Sky laughed loudly. “I’m quite enjoying playing with you, though. I’ve never had such a fun interaction with a human before. Hmm.” The titan grinned as he brought her right up to his face and pushed the tip of his nose into her, similarly to his finger. Lark squirmed under his touch, feeling his breath rush over her body from his nostrils. She stared upwards at his eyes, so close. She had been embraced by him once before like this, but the way he was acting now felt a lot more rambunctious. It was like he was toying with the idea of eating her or keeping her as a cute little pet, going back and forth between the scenarios. Knowing that he was hungry enough to devour an entire convoy was not reassuring. Sky could feel the little human tensing up under his touch. He smirked and let out a puff of air from his nose before pulling away and staring down at the flustered little woman in his palm. “You’re being very brave.” The giant rumbled in a deep voice as he looked her over. He knew she was scared of him, but the fact that they were familiar with each other beforehand was holding her together. “And you’re being a bully.” Lark retorted quietly up at the towering man. “Maybe. But you like it.” Sky said with a wink. “I didn’t say that…” Lark huffed, keeping her arms close to her chest for protection. “You don’t have to say anything. I can just tell, you know.” Sky rumbled as he crouched down below the trees, cupping his hand around her to keep her secured as he grunted and laid down on the chilled ground, propping himself up on his elbows. He then cradled both hands in front of him, with Lark on his left palm. Lark pulled her knees up to her chest as the giant laid himself out on the ground. His attention was fixated on her, her movements, her expressions. His face filled her vision, the heat of his skin radiating off of him. Deep within his body, his insides churned loudly, and the giant’s soft blue eyes narrowed. “...I’m just a little overwhelmed by… you.” Lark admitted as she gazed up at the giant’s face. This certainly was a new experience for her… for both of them. And the more she stared at him, the more attractive he seemed. Oh, no. “Honestly, me too.” Sky said in response, tilting his head slightly as he stared her up and down. “I’ve been restraining myself from crushing or dropping you on accident. This position is a lot more manageable.” The giant sighed as he looked down at his tiny friend on his palm, his hand resting on the ground. “Well I do appreciate not being crushed or dropped…” Lark said timidly up at the titan who loomed over her. She had a feeling he was suppressing something else… but she didn’t want to think about it. At least, she tried not to think about it. The giant’s hungry guts were anything but silent. “Mmm. I appreciate you.” Sky smiled. The human laid out on his palm tickled his fancy more than he expected her to. The way she tucked her tiny limbs close to her body... “Hmm…” Sky rumbled as he reached towards her with his thumb and forefinger. Lark instinctively stiffened as he pinched her whole body between those gigantic fingertips, giving her sides a squeeze. “Umm… hey.” Lark huffed, squirming between his fingers. The giant let out a giggle as she did so, unfolding her limbs as he expected her to. He then snatched one of her legs between his fingers and held it there, dragging her ever so slightly down his palm by it. “Gotcha.” Sky grinned as he tugged on her, noting how flustered and red her face got as he did so. “Ugh… noo.” Lark drawled, kicking with her free leg against the giant’s thumb. “D-don’t lift me up like this, please! I’ll get so dizzy…” “Aww.” Sky giggled as he released her leg and let her lay flat on his palm again. He sighed deeply as he traced the pad of his fingertip down her legs gently, feeling the length, the minuteness of her limbs. “You’re really, so small.” The giant rumbled as he played with her legs. Lark’s face was getting redder and redder. “And you’re going to give me a heart attack…” She breathed as his gentle fingers brushed against her. “I dunno. You’re so cute I might have one too.” Sky smiled, and Lark stared up at him in surprise. “I’m… I’m cute?” She asked timidly. Her hands started to grip her jacket tightly. “Mmmm.” Sky uttered as he pinched his thumb and index finger around Lark’s waist and gently lifted her up to his view. His lips curved into a grin as he watched her squirm in his grip. “Yeah. You are.” The giant’s teeth glistened in the light of the flashlight Lark clung desperately to, her legs dangling from his fingers. Lark kicked her legs weakly as she was presented in front of the titan’s face. She was speechless, too embarrassed to respond, which made Sky all the more adoring of her. “I want to just eat you up.” Sky rumbled as he held the tiny woman in front of his eyes. Her wide, nervous eyes were too adorable for him to handle. “I know…” She said quietly, glancing down at the giant’s lips. She wondered if she really would end up inside him tonight, after all. “Ahh. You poor thing… I couldn’t do it. I’d miss you too much.” The giant breathed on the human in his grip. His tongue flicked out and moistened his lips… “And yet…” Sky uttered as he brought her head up to his closed lips. He inhaled, then puckered his lips and planted them on Lark’s face. Her head sunk into his lips as he gave her a giant, warm kiss. Lark’s head spun as his lips engulfed her. The titan’s kiss took her breath away, and she was left with a red, moist face as he pulled away to get a look at her dazed expression. “Mhm, just as I thought. Delicious.” Sky uttered as he licked his lips again, bringing her up to eye level to admire her. “I… what…” Lark stammered, clutching the flashlight in her sweating hands in disbelief. She stared into the giant’s warm, blue eyes that glowed gently in the dark. Sky tilted his head at her, smiling warmly. “Was that good?” He asked curiously with a blush of his own on his cheeks. He certainly enjoyed it, but perhaps it was too much for Lark. Lark blinked a few times, then nodded. She bit her lip in embarrassment. “More?” Sky responded as she nodded, and Lark nodded even more enthusiastically. “Mmm… gladly.” The giant purred as he placed Lark back on his palm and brought her back up to his lips. With her back against his hand, her entire body was fully supported, and thus he was able to press his lips against her even more firmly this time, engulfing not only her head, but her shoulders and breasts. Sky kissed her firmly, squeezing her upper body against his lips. Her soft, warm little body felt heavenly between them, and as Lark let out muffled whimpers and moans of delight, Sky did so too. Lark gasped for breath between kisses, the enormous plush lips of the giant easily smothered her. Yet she wanted more, even going as far as to throw her arms out and hug his lips as they pressed down on her. She kissed his lips, pushing her own lips into the crevices of his warm skin. Sky’s lips trailed down her body, kissing her chest, her tummy, and her waist. The two of them shivered in delight as Sky explored her whole body, and Lark became intimately familiar with his mouth. The flashlight was lost somewhere between Sky’s fingers, but the two didn’t need to see what they were doing. After a while, both human and titan felt the late hour. The chill of the air did not bother Sky as he rested on his side, nestled between tree trunks in the northern pine forest. Lark stayed comfortable and warm in his enormous palm, which he kept close to his face. The two looked at each other in fond admiration. “I never thought I’d be this close with a titan…” Lark uttered as she stared up at Sky’s soft eyes. “Or even… to have a delight like this in the middle of a war. I feel so fortunate…” “Yeah. It’s crazy to think about.” Sky said as he rubbed his thumb against his tiny partner’s body. “What are you going to do in the morning?” Lark asked up at the giant. “I guess I’m not really sure what titans do on a daily basis…” “You might find my life boring, Lark. Giant beings tend to save their energy.” Sky chuckled. “So you’re saying you lay around all day.” “Not ALL day. Most of it.” “Doesn’t sound too bad… I guess giants are like cats in a way.” “Those little fuzzy things with long tails?” Lark stared up at Sky in confusion. “Have you never met a cat? They meow.” “Meow?” Sky grinned. “How does that go?” “Like… meow?” Lark said, imitating a cat’s meow as best she could. Sky decided that she was the cutest thing in the world at this moment, and leaned down to kiss her on the head before the two dozed off together....

No humans were harmed. The Jeep Rubicon with its roof torn off, however...
