It wasn't meant to be a "bad message". I'm sorry you took it that way, I was just trying to help.
You see, dA has specific rules regarding copyright and stock image use: you're required to credit, regardless the fact the image is from dA or not. Otherwise, people will assume, namely the person who took that photograph, that the resources you've used are yours, and that may get you in trouble, you know what I mean?
You should probably read this: FAQ #217: What are "Stock Photos" and can I use "Stock Photos" in my submissions?
PS: the Digital art gallery is not the same as the Photomanipulation. Should you have doubts, read the gallery descriptions
