I checked out this opera, and love it for the fact that it is industrial. I know Eric Whitacre has an elctronica opera called Paradise Lost, but this is the first one that I've heard of that really bends genres with industrial and other styles in it.
I personally cannot wait for the DVD. 'Fraid it won't show up in theaters here, as it's only going to 10 screens, as far as I know.

I don't know why I like the idea of this movie. I disliked Sweeney Todd (sorry, I did), and this would seem very similar, but something about the story and the main character is really compelling to me somehow.
Maybe it's his iconic look, which you captured masterfully here! Great drawing indeed.

I fell in love with the songs and then when i actually learned the whole plot i was lyke... o.o hehe
Sweeney Todd is different in many ways though. Sweeney Todd's music is just.... :/ singing, but this is opera and so wonderful <3 XD
and it's not as twisted as making meat pies made from human lol
i have to admit though, the whole meat pie thing made me very hungry for one
