Hey, this is really cool! So many times have I watched that part in the film that it makes me wonder what Emily was like when she was alive and fell in love Barkis before he killed her. When Bonejangles' shadow changes as he narrates that part, it changes to that of Barkis, but some may not remember the appearance of his figure. There is only one other hint of him being her fiancee and killer before the end reveals the truth: he tells the Everglots that he was betrothed many years ago, "but tragedy snatched my young bride away." I wonder how much older Barkis was than Emily, and if he used the same name as he did when Victor and Victoria were to marry. I had a hunch that after he killed Emily, he left the town because he knew that he would be suspected and caught if Emily's family discovered she was dead. I don't even think that he really was a lord when he came back; he just decided to pass himself off as one.
Of course, when he was courting Emily, he probably managed to do so well in putting on act to make Emily believed he loved her like she loved him. You know, I found one author on FanFiction who wrote her idea on how Barkis and Emily met up to when he killed her, and another one that is from Emily's point of view is consistent with the story about Barkis. She wrote them very well, and the details given about them make them sound so canon, especially in learning how Emily got to where she ended up.
Anyway, again, this is really good, and I think you drew them both well. Emily is so beautiful even in death, so she must have been gorgeous when she was alive. Heck, I bet her beautiful looks made her stand out more than other girls her age (I bet she was between 17 and 21, probably like Victor and Victoria), and it's probably why Barkis chose to court her...but only for her money.

I've seen quite a few pictures of 'Alive Emily' and I must say, I think this one represents her the best. She looks the most like herself, and I really like it. Good job!

OMG! My father took me to he mall yesterday, and we walked into "Comics And Stuff" and it had "Corpse Bride" merchandise! I thought I had to leave I was so close to flipping out, I started hyperventilating and thought I was going to faint!

Quel crevard ce Barkis! J'ai beaucoup aimé l'incrustation de 3D au moment de remains of the day d'ailleurs. Ca déchirait! Un autre truc que j'ai adoré c'est les clins d'oeil à Autant en emporte le vent, Dracula (ou Nosfératu puisque le dracula de coppola faisait lui même un clin d'oeil!), ce qui est marqué sur le piano, ray charles, l alibération de papillon/cardinal (sleepy hollow), quand ils rament sans avancer dans 'the wedding song' ca me rappelle trop qq chose mais je sais pas dire quoi!!!
En tous cas jme suis bien poilée dans ce film. Y'a encore d'utres trucs mais je m'en souviens plus! En tous cas à autant en emporte le vent, avec ma souer on etait les seuls à avoir rigolé! Avec la musque et tout lol! Les gens n'ont aucune culture ou quoi? Tout le monde nous a regardé parcequ'ils se demandaient ce qui était drole! lol

Je ne fais pas vraiment attention aux clins d'oeils, perso, pour moi, Les noces funèbres, c'est bien plus qu'un film d'animation !
