Those details were real hard to do, but it was fun at the same time

Haha yes, I was mad at the highschool's art teacher, because she knew nothing and told us to make a body drawing... so I picked up Axl's photo and started to draw it... I took 3 days to do it (quite fast for me, I usually take a month to do something ) I'm really proud of it, because until then I had never made a drawing with that many details ...
But since then, I haven't drawn a portrait with so many details again...

When I was drawing him, I started sketching with the mechanical pencil, and then I started shadowing him with it too... I didn't realized what I was actually doing, and when I realized I had half the drawing shadowed with the mechanical pencil hahahaha

I guess you really liked the subject and the photo ^^ It takes me a looot of time to finish a drawing too
Hah but the shadowing is so smooth,you couldn't tell it's done with a mechanical pencil
It's not such a big group but still the drawing is way to awesome

Well, that time (about 5 or 6 years ago) I was addicted to Guns 'n' Roses... I still like the old albums, but when I was in highschool, I had many posters, T-shirts, magazines, cds, everything about them. I guess it helped me to draw Axl with so many details
Oh, I used a very soft graphite and worked with the mechanical pencil very gently and... diagonally (I don't know how to express that in English, hope you get it).
All you need is just a little pacience to do it hahaha
