Description: Old hunting trophies were the inspiration for this wilderness-themed assemblage piece. I started with a roe deer on a wooden plaque, hunted in the 1980s and decorated the plaque with acrylic paint. I then adorned it with a bit of vintage book page wrapped in a braid of brown yarn and covered over with a brass stag charm. A pine branch curves overhead, and usnea lichen is tucked into the eye sockets, while a pair of wood slices take up the top corners. The pictures don't do it justice!
