This collab has furthered since I started so should I put my character on how the collab looked before or now?

What I would do is... download the collab like it is now and put it on a separate page. Bring up the one you had done your part on... and copy and paste your part onto the updated version. Might be trickier on other programs, but I can do it for you if you have issues... as long as the base itself didn't get messed up or anything.
MS Paint usually makes copying and pasting easy in my opinion with something like this.
