Everything about this is just perfect. His unique nose, his gorgeous lips, his AMAZING eyes! Oh and the folds, the FOLDS! I can't believe you even textured his tie!

i drew all the lines in the fabric texture with a 0.5mm ink pen then went over with a 6B mech pencil... worked like a charm
i love drawing folds... i get totally lost for hours in the shading lol!

...And the buttons
You can never have too many buttons.
Well, unless it makes your jacket look like it's made out of buttons, that might be a bit silly.

thank chuck for that! Mishas lips are very... unusual.... and REALLY hard to draw! i was having MAJOR stresses about them lol!
lol! buttons are cool to draw, and seams and hem lines and zips... well i just love drawing clothes in general hehee!

Well, faces are quite hard to get right in realism, especially with a bit of perspective things can get messed up.
Zips are interesting, and belt buckles
Or just any kind of buckle, like on shoes.

Gee this must have been really difficult with all of the clothes shading of Castiel. I`ve always wanted to draw him but I just can`t bring myself to do this because of this one small and tiny reason. You did just great job! I would have never managed to do somehing beautiful as this.

to be honest i never have any trouble with the clothes. The face is where i panic, im literally clenched up and tense for the entire process, sometimes almost to the point of a panic attack. Sometimes its so bad i have to walk it off, sometimes even have a drink to ratchet down my nerves. Im like that right up to the point where i can see the likeness emerging. As soon as i reach the point where i can look at the face and see that it looks like the person im drawing, i completely relax. Then i get totally lost in the patterns textures and folds of the different fabrics they are wearing. The details are where i lose myself and let it flow.

Wow I wish I could just do that. I panic whenever I have to draw clothes. Different textures and so on... and it really stress me when the face looks similarly and clothes just ruin it. I guess everybody love different sides of drawing.

tis true... if i had to do an abstract drawing... well... lets just say id have more fun with a crayola set and a kids colouring book. But each to their own. Its like when people draw in a very sketchy style and then say its finished and walk away. id go nuts if i had to do that because id want to 'finish' it. lol!
