Description Okay, so here's my first deviation.

I don't really know where to start, so here's a photo I have taken last weekend during the "Sababurger WolfsnΓ€chte" (Sababurg Wolf Nights) at the Sababurg Zoo near Hofgeismar in Germany.

If you are vigilant, you will notice that it's not dark - yes, actually the "Wolf Nights" started at 2pm and ended around 8pm. Don't ask me why they called it wolf nights. Maybe it is to emphasize the stereotypic connection between wolves and the night, I have no idea.

It snowed heavily on Friday, but we thankfully had a mostly sunny weekend. The afternoon light was quite amazing that day.

So... here you go, hope you like


Update: Re-edited/framed/sized the photo for a small print run of 250 in A2 size (23.5"x16.5").

I enjoy spending time around wolves, even though it's hard sometimes if they are just sleeping all day long and you wait for them to wake up and do something interesting

Actually, I do. I'm currently working on a 2011 wolf calendar, but choosing the right 13 photos from all that have piled up in the past year is not an easy task, so it will take me some more time to get it all together
