A snow leopard posing in a dark spot of his private forest at the Magdeburg Zoo.

This was taken in really complicated conditions. When we arrived at the zoo, it started raining and the sky was overcast with dark clouds. Even at high ISO, it was hard to achieve a halfway decent shutter speed.

Then, this was taken though a mud wall, literally. The window I took this through was completely covered with mud, but since this was about the only time the snow leopard was posing nicely, I thought what the heck and went ahead.

Thanks to RAW file processing, I was able to recover it more or less - I couldn't completely get rid of the yellowish colors though, because there was almost no data in the blue color channel - so trying to balance it more to blue just made it darker, but not much less yellow-ish.

Ah well, I'm quite happy with the way it came out in the end though. Even though this is nothing I would want to print as a big poster
